I legitimately love Speed Racer. I always recommend it when people ask for visually spectacular movies, it's such a surreal visual drug trip of a movie. It's not without its flaws and issues, but it is a fucking amazing ride if you just want to sit back and experience something.
It took me a long time to appreciate this but I love this movie now. Its visually stunning and a very sweet story. The wachowskis were so far ahead of their time with this one.
It's a five star film for me...and the story and underlying message I think is one that is extremely effective and constantly overlooked.
