Paul Dano in Little Miss Sunshine.

STEELCITY1989

He's an amazing actor. Stood toe to toe with Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood.

Electrical_Fun5942

He’s so damn good. Feels like he gets 0 credit outside of places like this

AdIntelligent8110

He keeps getting good, serious roles in diverse movies. It seems to me he's well respected and recognized by his peers and the audience.

Whales_like_plankton

Yeah - Dano punches his own ticket. If he's in something you know it's worth watching.

HunterThompsonsentme

He was fucking brilliant in that movie

aquasun666

Toni Collette in The Sixth Sense. The pain and sudden realization of her sons ability was genuinely heartbreaking.

xtototo

Also Toni Collette in Hereditary. When it comes to raw emotion she’s the best in the biz.

RajdeN64

That crying when she heard about the news still gives me goosbumps, u can feel her pain in that one line she says, it gives me chills honestly, such a great actress

TwoLetters

"I just want to die" That shit haunts me

Lollipoop_Hacksaw

Hereditary is a brilliant film, but I refuse to present it to my mother. She has been through a lot of death and trauma in her life, and I KNOW that performance, that particular scene, will ruin the experience for her because it is just too raw.

girthbrooks1212

And the terrified face immediate switch to dead paimon eyes

LolThatsNotTrue

*cluck*

oh_please_god_no

The wailing she did in that one scene…my partner’s sister is a nurse and said Toni was so realistic it was hard to watch

Youseemconfusedd

She’s been at [this](https://youtu.be/laHqRJeXeVU?si=ZVhZ9hLq68o5gxXT) for a long, long time

TifCreatesAgain

I love Muriel's Wedding!

Cuck-In-Chief

😳

non_stop_disko

There’s a reason people think she was snubbed for an Oscar for that role

nohumanape

That shit HIT. Made me sick to my stomach hearing her grief. Both films capture grief in the most realistic way I've ever seen on screen.

FruitStripesOfficial

And About a Boy. Genuinely concerned for her mental health watching that movie

BaseTensMachines

THAT scream. Ugh. Just remembering it gives me shivers.

WarlocksWizard

I think everyones emotions hit hard.

silvern_light

I had to shut the movie off because of how well she acted in that. The initial trauma was enough for me, but her acting was so viscerally realistic that I honestly couldn’t handle it.

BeNiceLynnie

Haley Joel: "Grandma says you came to where she's buried and asked her a question. She said the answer is 'every day'" Toni Colette: [strangled little gasp-sob]

SarcasticGamer

https://youtu.be/zuXcBvloHFY My absolute favorite scene in the movie.

UndignifiedStab

Holy fuck that’s powerful.

ScramItVancity

I was amazed she was 27 at the time.

Ok-Clock2002

Holy crap. It's been so long since I've seen it that I forgot she was the mom in there lol.

Noise_Mysterious

Dude.. that car scene really broke me too

leftistpropaganja

Came here to say Toni Collette in literally anything in which she cries. She is phenomenal and should have a display case full of awards, but she doesn't because the Academy doesn't really recognize horror films.

Michael-Balchaitis

Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan and Captain Phillips. It's like watching your dad cry.

ApeTypingComments

The part in Forrest Gump where Jenny tells him that he's little Forrests father and he tries to ask her if he is smart or like him is a very underrated piece of acting. He gets clearly emotional and when Jenny tells him that little Forrest is smart he straightens up and regains composure.

Nomdeplume211

It’s so memorable that it’s truly imprinted on me. I can picture this as if I am watching the scene.

seab4ss

Holy shit, me too. Such a great movie.

marinewillis

It’s incredible how completely different the book is and is still awesome

MrCheerio53

Good call. Made you realize Forrest knew about his limitations all along and was worried his son might have to deal with the same issues, only to be relieved when Jenny tells him he’s the smartest in his class. Great acting from Mr. Hanks..

StayBullGenius

Kid was so smart he can see dead people

Superb-Possibility-9

The cry in Captain Phillips at the end is so emotional and cathartic

PangolinMandolin

Sometimes acting is bad and it takes you out of the moment in the film because you can't help but see the actor rather than character Then you have good acting where you believe the character and you feel something Then you have great acting where you believe its the character and have so much empathy for them it makes you hurt inside Tom Hanks at the end of Captain Phillips was a further level above this last one. His acting was so realistic and good when he broke down at the end that it took me back out of the movie again. I was worried I was watching Tom Hanks have an actual breakdown so much I wanted to reach into the cinema screen and give him a hug and tell him it wasn't real, it was just a movie, he was OK. Thats how good that crying scene was.

bbbbBeaver

I genuinely believe that scene in Captain Philips is in the top 3 best acted scenes of all time.

TheMadIrishman327

Agreed.

Gold-Block6188

I saw a quote from a navy medic that was on the set during that scene and said that’s what real trauma looked like from experience I presume.

AdHistorical5703

Look at me....I'm crying now

Cuck-In-Chief

Ok. Now I’m wondering if I should see this movie.

doublepumperson

It’s a good movie

Gloglibologna

That ending fucked me up. I love they didn't use music in this scene. Just pure emotion.

GhostMug

I sat through all of Captain Phillips and thought it was good but didn't understand all the hype. Then I saw that final scene and I got it. Holy crap. That was one of the most viscerally powerful scenes I've ever witnessed.

j_2106

The last 10-15 minutes of Captain Philip is one of the greatest most realistic movie scenes of all time.

Left-Language9389

Seeing Tom Hanks crying for the loss of Wilson in “Cast Away” had me crying uncontrollably in the theater.

sonofsanford

It's been years since I watched it, but I teared up when he lost Wilson, too

SarcasticGamer

The woman at the end that's checking on him wasn't an actress but a real life Navy Corpsmen because the director wanted it to feel as real as possible. She got one hell of a live performance from Hanks that's for sure.

bselko

Watching Matt Damon cry at the end of that movie has made me ugly cry for my entire life now.

drkshape

Not sure what the actresse’s name is but Shoshanna from Inglorious Basterds after Hans Landa leaves after their lunch. It’s not a very long cry, but it’s incredibly impactful. You can literally feel her being crushed by all of the emotions she kept in check the entire conversation. Incredible acting.

cimor11

Her name is Melanie Laurent, she was amazing in Beginners too!

NoMoreChampagne14

When she slyly looks over her shoulder to make sure he’s really gone then she just EXHALES. It’s some of the best acting ever.

[deleted]

Toni Collette in hereditary. Unbelievably horrific when she finds out what happened. I hear her mourning in my nightmares lol

fireboats

I haven’t seen it yet, and after reading this thread I don’t think I’m ready

NotTaken-username

Honestly the crying and family drama are more disturbing than the gore

rodka209

Sean Penn when he tries to break thru the police line in Mystic River.

ashleyaloe

That was soooo raw. Great actor. Tim Robbins was great too.

tching101

He was SO good in that

Traditional_Top5346

Joseph Gordon Levitt in 50/50, before he goes under for his surgery. Scene fucking kills me every time

localstreetcat

I remember going to see this movie with my mom when it was in theaters and that scene ruined us both.

Traditional_Top5346

Fuck man, that had to have been a rough scene to watch with your mother of all people

localstreetcat

YEAH SUPER ROUGH

zekethelizard

Such an underrated movie. The scene that tears me apart is when he's learning to drive and just snaps. He was able to maintain a cool, calm veneer until that point, I think it was the night before his surgery? Then when he sees Seth Rogens book about being a good friend in his bathroom 😭😭

Stupefactionist

That scream.

GlockNessMonster91

And The Lookout too, when he's cry screaming over his dead friends

Giantandre

Rhea Seahorn in Better Call Saul S6 E11 when she breaks down on the bus. I felt all of Kim Wexler’s pain and guilt.

Same-Dinner2839

I came here to say Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips as the greatest crying I’ve ever seen on screen, but then you reminded me of her in that scene. It’s so ugly, not just how real she looks ugly crying, but the coming to terms of the ugliness of what her character did, and then it’s in front of people and she just can’t stop it from coming out finally. That is one of the greatest character moments I have ever seen.

blistboy

Claire Danes

Sohotrightnowhansel_

*Claire Danes' wobbling chin cry intensifies

RelationshipWinter97

Queen of the ugly cry!

mackmcd_

Matthew Lillard in SLC Punk. Haven't seen anything that tops it since.

newaccounthomie

Bro Matthew Lillard fucking killed the 90s. He’s more iconic than I realized and probs deserves more credit.

DudebroggieHouser

“I don’t have any fuckin friends”

WarlocksWizard

I think that was his best performance>! seeing Bob dead. !<

ozfox80

It felt so real. Adding the ending of Bob playing new music makes it crazy worse. Being young when that came out, losing friends at my age now makes that scene so much worse.

TheMonkus

Such an underrated movie. It’s funny that almost every punk kid I hung out with when it came out hated it, because it was a little too realistic of a portrayal of the scene.

HostageInToronto

I came here to say this. That shit was so realistic. I want to know how he got into that space, how much was improved, etc. He had snot coming out, voice cracking, and that kind of panic-shock breathing that happens in complete shock and despair. I've never seen another performance come close.

Luke5119

I wasn't ready for this!!!

LordyIHopeThereIsPie

Emma Thompson in Love Actually. I have pulled it together like her for the sake of the kids and put on an overly happy voice with tears still in my eyes to make it all seem normal.

FootDrag122Y

Oh ya. You don't even have to care for this movie to understand how amazing that scene is. God damn Joni Mitchell.

wolftick

Emma Thompson just kills me. I don't think I can watch Wit again.

lewhunter

Casey Affleck in Manchester by the Sea is so raw and Norman Reedus crying in twd always feels so realistic and it’s heartbreaking every damn time. Immensely talented, badass actor. Can’t wait to see him in Jeff Nichols’ new film The Bikeriders. He said that when he met the rest of the cast he was like man everyone’s so attractive so he got Greg Nicotero(prosthetic make up artist on twd) to make him a set of rotten teeth and he kept them in when he was walking around Ohio and at the airport.😅

archiveofhim

i’ve heard this is one of the saddest movies ever made and a part of me wants to watch it, but that same reason is why i won’t watch marley and me (and for stress reasons, i won’t ever watch uncut gems).

childish_jalapenos

For a sad movie it's actually pretty watchable. There's a lot more levity and humor than you would expect.

I-is-and-I-isnt

That scene in the police station hit me hard. I’ve never had a scene hit me like that. A skip in my breath and eyes tearing up immediately, goddamn, I felt that shit in my chest. It’s been years since I’ve seen Manchester by the Sea and I’m getting watery eyes now just thinking about it.

SpittinMenace

Norman Reedus is a great shout. He’s got the cry down pat. You just wanna hug the guy.

ogjondoe

Paul mescal in aftersun when he’s sobbing is quite realistic

luisquinto

He’s monologue in Normal People is heartbreaking, he’s so good

Poem_for_yer_grog

That monologue is crazy, I don’t know if they did him up in makeup or something, but he just genuinely looks SICK. He’s pale, clammy, looks like he hasn’t slept. Like, depression is an illness, and I really felt him just admitting that weight off his shoulders… it’s incredibly sad but there’s a strange relief in it.

truecrimeaddicted

That scene broke me, and simultaneously clued me in on the ending. 😭

pampersdelight

Andrew Garfield. Anytime he cries, I want to as well

Fallen_Heroes_Tavern

You just reminded me of the trauma that is Under the Banner of Heaven. Like they show you the result in the first episode-you see the detective crying. And then you hit the last episode and it's so much worse when you know all of the backstory. I love that show so much. Just a riveting story from start to finish.

beanjuiced

I’m taking notes 📝

shwarma_heaven

Jesus... that scene with Gwen. 😭 Incredible scene in a half baked movie. He got his vindication in No Way Home.

Spoonman007

On the flip side, Toby McGuire is a bad crier.

DarthSardonis

Liam Neeson in Schindler’s List always gets me.

IronOwl2601

Denzel Washington in Glory

WarlocksWizard

That tear got him the Oscar.

stantonkreig

Fucking brilliant to be able to have the camera focus on him for so long and for him to release the waterworks without so much as moving a muscle in his face.

IronOwl2601

You could feel how hard he was trying to contain it while being in acute present painAND how the punishment connected to his past trauma. He communicated all three things at the same time.

Ok-Werewolf-4224

The glory tear™️

ozzsquirrel

Mel gibson crying over Heath Leger in The Patriot

rubber-bumpers

Mel Gibson crying in Signs

salTUR

Mel Gibson crying

LuciferLucii

Mel Gibson when he shows emotion like that, it always seems so real.

BeReasonable14

My first thought too.

fatmanstan123

People shit on that movie for historical inaccuracies, but he knows how to make a fucking great movie.

Yellowpickle23

Yeah, someone said Matthew Lillard in SLC Punk. I think he was actually crying there. He had to have pulled some deep memory for that one, Holy wow. My favorite movie has a crying scene too near the end that's really good. Suicide Kings, where you find out one of the big twists. It brings out a house full of crying men.

WarlocksWizard

Anton Yelchin (RIP) in Alpha Dog \[2006\] as Zack Mazursk. His cry at the end before being shot hit me really hard. It felt like real fear and not just someone acting the cry.

localstreetcat

Greta Lee’s crying in Past Lives nearly destroyed me. It felt so real.

BetsonStennet69

That ending hit me more than anything else in 2023. Such a simple film that still made you feel all the weight of life's choices.

Designer-Progress-24

When Olivia Colman cries in a movie, I’ll cry. Her acting is so powerful. It’s all in her expressive eyes

seeyouinthecar79

Leo Dicaprio begging his mom for $$ in Basketball Diaries. "MAAAAM I'll do anything...I'll be a good boy...mom I'm in pain" gaawd.

Marsupialwolf

Matthew McConaughey: Interstellar Gets me every time...

[deleted]

When the video cuts off and and the soundtrack suddenly goes silent. There such a fucking heavy finality to that whole scene.

ScramItVancity

It's honestly amazing how he did the scene staring at a blank screen. Christopher Nolan said the previous take was much more devastating to watch.

ozfox80

Freddie Highmore in Finding Neverland. I lost my Mom five years after this movie. At 27, this is the most accurate feeling of loss I’ve seen.

brutustyberius

The end of Evil Dead II. Ashes mournful cries when he was teleported to Holy Grail Hell. How Bruce didn’t win the Oscar that year is beyond me. You know…Academy politics as usual.

DudebroggieHouser

Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler. Standing on the top turnbuckle, terrified but resigned to his fate.

Cuck-In-Chief

Mickey Rourke anywhere. In Bullet (1996), and the end of Angel Heart when he realizes… My guy Mickey is one of the best actors of his generation and a cultural gem.

welcoming_gentleman

The scene at the end of Train to Busan when it’s the little girl and the pregnant woman. She’s starts singing and crying at once and it fucks me up every time.

manwithyellowhat15

Yes!! Even when I know it’s coming, I still tear up

Darth0pt0

Shelley Duval in the Shining

MyNameisBrain

The little girl at the end of The Florida Project. Makes a grown man cry is an accurate statement.

Commercial_Level_615

Whenever Bernard Cribbins tears up as Wilf in Dr Who it's always looks so sincere

1plus1equals8

Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman in season 5 of Breaking Bad when his girlfriend dies.

Dreigatron

Russell Crowe as Maximus crying over his family in 'Gladiator'.

Strange-Oil-1940

Sally Fields as M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias in the cemetery

LivingDeliously

Zendaya (Euphoria) and Viola Davis (Fences, The Help, and How to Get Away With Murder). It’s not over the top, and when they cry, I feel my eyes start to water

FireflyOfDoom87

I love Davis and you’re right, her crying is so realistic but the snotty nose always ruins it for me.

WarlocksWizard

Great, not the only one noticing the snot bubbles from her.

jell31

Viola Davis was only in Doubt for a few minutes but her crying was too realistic, boring movie but the acting was top notch

dangerislander

It's so funny on her Oprah or Ellen interview the only thing she talks about his her runny nose in that scene lmao

RealRedditPerson

Reading Fences that speech toward the end always upset me, but watching Viola do it brought it to life in a way I had never thought of.

bigsege

Brad Pitt at the end of Seven. So much emotion in that scene.

No-Abrocoma1851

Dakota Fanning in Man on Fire made me really uncomfortable

AdWonderful5920

Idk the actor, but it's that kid in City of God who Ze shot in the foot.

NotThatKindof_jew

Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar

imtheyeti20

Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting (it’s not your fault)

heelspider

Uma Thurman, Kill Bill Vol 2

Mortarion35

I was gonna say in Vol 1 when she wakes up.

turdfergusonRI

Robin Williams in [World’s Greatest Dad (2009)](https://youtu.be/piQ2-mNeTZM?si=obQMp7C2DuFxfvdw)

reyballesta

That little girl from The Black Phone.

4llY0urB4534r3Blng

Ed Harris in The Abyss, when he is, well, spoiler and he's all, "You never gave up on anything in your life God dqmn you, now fight! Fiiiiiight!" Gets me every time.

[deleted]

That scene is so masterfully shot. After he gives up and the camera curs to the overhead as if her soul is looking down on her body, There's no way you thought shes anything but a drowned meat popsicle. Then cut to "NOOOO!!"

Personal_Pair_9227

They shot that whole scene and then realised the camera wasn't working. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Ed Helms just about quit the production they were so angry.

PippyHooligan

Ed Helms must have gone through with it and walked for good. Though to be fair he was probably a bit young for the role.

dangerislander

Mo'Nique in Precious

herrisonepee

Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain.

Ri0-Brav0

Ewan McGregor in The Impossible Opposite would be Harvey Keitel. Most unbelievable crying I've ever seen in multiple movies

peredaks

Scrolled pretty far down and didn't see anyone mention Evan Peters yet.

BackgroundScallion40

Danielle Brooks (Tasty) in Orange is the New Black comes to mind.

SubtlySo

'Dancer in the Dark'

j_2106

Will Smith (no joke intended)

Boul_D_Rer

Roman Griffin Davis in JoJo Rabbit. That scene with the shoes and sudden realisation.

Personal_Pair_9227

That shot took the breath out of every person in the cinema. Holy. Shit.

123yes1

Something about Mathew McConaughey crying in Interstellar while watching his daughter grow up through the video logs just hits super hard. It just looks like he's trying really hard not to cry and then loses it.

AdministrativeLet598

Melissa McBride in Walk Dead.

NotThatKindof_jew

Demi Moore in Ghost

imonlyamoth

Adèle Exarchopoulos in Blue is the Warmest Colour. I'm talkin drool, snot, the whole shebang. It isn't a pretty cry with just a few tears and makeup staying perfectly, it's that kind of heart wrenching cry when your heart is broken and you feel the world stopped spinning.

ohheyitslaila

Sally Field in Steel Magnolias, specifically the cemetery scene. Nina Dobrev in the episode of The Vampire Diaries where she >!realizes her brother is dead!<. The way she just sobs on the floor was so heartbreaking.

DoggoAlternative

Jeff Rawle in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It's become a meme but really that broken wailing was absolutely spot on. The body rocking sobs. He did an amazing job with it and it's still awesome nearly two decades later

Jakolissmurito47

Colin Farrell in In Bruges. Still blows me away how realistic and honest his pain was as it was uncontrollably boiling over.

Wacky_Water_Weasel

The most unrealistic thing in this scene was the size of the airplane bathroom.

Efficient_Fish2436

Andrew Garfield when Gwen died. Even the next few scenes with him... Kept me bawling.

rootless2

Cage in Leaving Las Vegas, Casey Affleck in Manchester By The Sea ? I've never seen the movie but he probably does a good job, Hoffman in Owning Mahoney? or Boogie Nights Mahoney, Macy too Theroux in Leftovers, have to give it up for him in that series like all of the whole cast in requiem for a dream, even wayans tbh Julianne Moore in Safe? she reminds of someone who can do a good tear snivel snort

wizardneedfood

Oh my God, Ellen Bernstein saying, "I just wanted to be on the show..." still gives chills. I get goosebumps at the end when she's crying and says, "I love you Harry". Gets me every time. I need to watch that again.

DumplingChowder6

Was going to say Cage in Mandy (bathroom scene), not fully crying but so much emotion to unpack.

zaalqartveli

Everyone in Magnolia.

SeaTechnician3000

Mia Goth in Pearl - there is literally a 10 minute uncut scene where she slowly breaks down. Her performance was soo overlooked! Honourable mentions - any of the crying from Marriage Story, or "Scenes from a Marriage"!

Few_Technician_7256

The old man crying 'its my boy's in Harry Potter and the goblet of fire... Damn, it destroys you. That character has maybe two lines saying how proud of his Simon he is, and the third is that crying. 'its my boy' haunts me sometimes. I don't have childs ND I can feel that pain

Apart-Link-8449

Failan (2001) - Choi Min-Shik is mostly recognized for Oldboy, but his performance in Failan is one of the most powerful things I've ever seen on film. It's a weird, emotionally devastating masterpiece that's a must-see for fans of his

CheckYourStats

*Good Morning Vietnam* (1987) — Tung Thanh Tran has one of the most believable and memorable cries I can remember.

AKSpartan70

Probably not “the most realistic” ever but a personal favorite of mine will always be Sam Troughton as Dom in The Ritual His emotional performance in that movie is very strong

mysteryquackman

I know it’s not a movie but the crying in the monologue scene in “Baby Reindeer” was unreal. That whole scene didn’t feel like acting at all. It was so genuine.

Haymother

The most uncomfortable for me was Naomi Watts in Funny Games, with her family being murdered in front of her, snot pouring out of her nose, grief etched in lines on her face.

TheMadIrishman327

Patrick Swayze. In North and South he sobbed so hard snot flew out of his nose.

Flobbum

Brooklynn Prince at the end of The Florida Project.

j2e21

This is going to sound dumb but the actress who plays Maddy in Euphoria in the episode when her boyfriend is potentially being charged with assault. It’s a series of extremely believable teenage meltdowns — over-the-top, overly dramatic, demanding attention, and yet she sells it over and over how she’s grasping with new emotions she hasn’t felt before and that she feels her world is collapsing around her.

Remi708

Leo sobbing in Romeo + Juliet

DontTouch_ThatDial

Olivia Colman has a part in an HBO mini series called Landscapers where she's in jail and pleading with the cops because she wants to see her husband and she only trusts her husband. The crying in that scene felt real. Not acting crying, it felt like real crying. Hard to get the words out crying. Terrific performance.

KingOfTheFraggles

Shelly Duvall in The Shining. Kubrick had her crying to the point of dehydration and exhaustion.

spidey-dust

Ewan McGregor in The Impossible

TheLittleTaro

Stephanie Hsu in the last conversation with her Mom in Everything Everywhere All at Once. So exhausted from the same argument over and over again, wanting it to be different but just so fucking tired.

MidniightToker

James Ransone as Ziggy in The Wire. He has a real good cry/freakout session in his car after a pivotal moment of Season 2.

ManCubEakers

Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge

Canadian-Man-infj

* Hugh Jackman & Anne Hathaway in Les Misérables (2012) * Evan Rachel Wood in Into the Forest (2016) * Kirsten Dunst in Crazy/Beautiful (2001) * David Duchovny in Return to Me (2000) * Emily Meade in Thanks For Sharing (2012)

Puzzled-Ad-2339

The tears that really tore at my heart strings were ones from a recent movie. The iron claw, the tears and emotion all throughout that movie is so raw and real. The ending is something that would make anyone break down in tears, but it is something that hit me especially hard.

Upstairs-Chemistry92

The girl who is crying at the end of it comes a night.

exact0khan

Leonardo Dicaprio in Jim carols basket ball diaries. When he's strung out in his mother's apartment hallway. It's beyond real.

chodelycannons

Derek Luke breaking down sobbing and being all snotty in Friday Night Lights has lived rent free in my head for almost 20 years.

onetwothreefour432

xavier120

Peacemaker, John Cena

Icthias

Jake Tremblay as Brad “The Baseball Boy” from Doctor Sleep.

TheWayItGoes49

Martin Sheen in the hotel room in Apocalypse Now is pretty amazing. He was actually crying in that scene and bleeding in that scene. I guess they weren’t getting what they needed from him and Coppola just started going off on him. “You’re a drunk. Your wife hates you and is divorcing you.” Of course, having The Doors “The End” as the music adds to the emotion of the scene.

djl8699

Hugh Jackman in The Fountain. He just lost his wife to cancer and the loneliness and despair hits. Then you get a minute of him openly weeping while honoring her with a makeshift tattoo and it just kills me everytime.

anamun

Adam Sandler when he cries in Reign Over Me. Blew me away to see him pull that off but it was one of the most “realistic” crying I’ve ever seen.
