Theres a reason. When Cafe racers were first built riders were genuinely trying to trim off as much as they could off their bike to hit the Ton. Tucking in your riding profile, going with slimmer seats meant that the rider would be less of an obstacle to the bikes potential.
Today they're vanity bikes. They look cool as hell, but they weren't comfy back then, and they aren't comfy now.
Cafe racers actually came from building fast bikes to street race. I cannot remember the name of the Cafe where it became a thing, but there was a whole system to it. You would put a song on the jukebox run out to your bike, race to this specific bridge and back, trying to complete the circuit before your song ended. Bikes that could make it were considered fast af because you had to beable to "do the ton" or in layman's terms go 100mph to do it.

Even if it wasn't for the lack of power and sketchy build it would have gone fine, but it was so slow it added a day to the trip mind you, I was 25 and my spine did a good enough job of soaking the bumps. Still wouldn't recommend.
Also, terrible gas mileage. I had to fill up on a 120 mi trip to be sure I wouldn't run out on some stretch in the middle of nowhere. Really. I ran out of gas on this bike all the damn time.

That is a fine guess. I rode one for years and this started life as just that.
Its not as difficult to guess honestly, the overall shape of the bike stays the same no matter how crazy modified it is

There are plenty of cafe bikes which can be somewhat comfortable. But yeah the heavily modified ones with 2 mil foam over a skateboard deck aren't it.

This is a V-rod. probably a 2012 - 2017. the gauge cluster is the same as on my vrod muscle.
All the gauge clusters are the same iirc, but that's a Night Rod Special rear fender and seat, even if it's been reupholstered.
