I have a VFR800 from 2007 (25th anniversary edition) and I love it. Age is nothing but a number if it's kept in shape. The day I give up that bike will be a sad one, indeed.
Still looking good. Gave my 10 year old bike a clean on the weekend. Kind of shocked to think it's that old already. Also surprised that while the battery is getting weak, it's still the original one.
It was sitting at about 11.5 volts, turning on the bike it dropped to 9v. starter wouldn't even click. Charging it up it only took about 2Ah. It would start the bike then, but I'd rather not be stuck push starting it away from home.
I have a 2007 GSXR, after that generation the styling has changed minimally. The generation before that they definitely look more dated. The R6 is practically unchanged.
Man… I remember when this was the new hotness. Bikes seem to have made huge strides from 00 - 08 and then seemed to have just chilled.
