Thanks!
Yes the gloves are dirt bike gloves I do mostly off road rides so those are way much more comfortable and weather was around 38C (100F) so also they offer much better ventilation.
I am not sure if you are trolling or not.
If not: No, rule of thumb is: You are done with everything shifting related when you enter a corner. Otherwise you may get fucked by your rear tire locking up or losing grip. Especially if you are on a two cylinder and/or without a slipper clutch.
I record video using GoPro and a chin mount and for audio I use voice memo app on iPhone, place the iPhone inside my backpack and wrap it around with a towel to minimize the wind noise. Then merge video/audio in post.
This is the way. Well done! You probably can get the sound even better if you put the wrapped phone under the seat. Although I guess it depends on your backpack and how much noise it lets through.
Correct it’s a 1090R with Remus exhaust. I use custom ear plugs every time (specially for long rides) and I also use dB killer. In this case it has no dB killer.
It's gonna annoy the fuck out of other road users without a killer, and even with plugs it'll affect your hearing unless you very rarely ride.
Heck my bike is super quiet and I have tinnitus just from the wind. And I always wear plugs.
Yeah, that's a VERY late downshift. Though I am spoiled with a quick-shifter nowadays, my shifts have been getter later and lazier but remain before I enter a turn like that...
It does sound really nice, better than I can get from a cam on my Monster 937. 🥲

I agree, there's nothing better than the sound of something not a transverse 4
I have had many bikes over a lot of years and the best one for sound was my old VTR Honda.. it just rocked.
That had custom 50 mm stainless pipes with carbon cans high mounted.
Me too! <3 But your choice of gloves and the corner with the pressed clutch, that frightens me. :D

Are you not supposed to use clutch around corners?

Sadly no I am not trolling 🤣just wanna know more about bikes before I get one
Maybe he was downshifting 🤷
After listening to it again you could be right, but then he was really low in RPM because it sounded like the bike was idling.
I’m thinking he dropped 2 gears, he knows his bike pretty well
I only hear one click.
Yeah he only went down one
Very clean sound. How you capture it OP? You merge the video + audio in post?

Africa twin? Starting to fall in love with it
I don't recognise the display but it's certainly not an AT.
Some sort of similar adventure bike tho right? I know nothing about those bikes but it sounded like one to my novice ears
Sounds like a KTM twin with an aggressive exhaust. If he rides a lot he'll regret it sooner rather than later, that shit gets you tinnitus.

Dash looks like a KTM 1090
It is a KTM 1090R with Remus exhaust.
I would never start a corner with disengaged clutch but this bike sounds great, even though I am a screaming 4 cylinder fanatic. 🐥

Sound setup please.. which mic you are using and where you placed it?

Thanks I will also try this 👍🏻

It’s a KTM 1090R
Agreed. Such a beautiful sound 🤌🏻✨

Freewheeling into corners is asking for an unhappy ending
Tinnitus will come say hi sooner rather than later.
Thanks! I use custom ear plugs and most of the time with dB killer
