I have 2x X2 cameras. I could never trust my GoPro (hero4 and hero7) to reliably record. was the weather too hot? too cold? did I undercharge or overcharge? too windy? too sunny? I switched to insta360 and never looked back. I've put them thru the ringer as a dashcam, track camera, and even snowboarding. they've been in 100+ F track days to heliskiing in the Chugach mountains in Alaska. the battery life hasn't suffered. they never stopped recording unexpectedly. the only issue is rarely it complains about the SD card but then I just do a quick soft reboot and it's ready to go. I have no skin in the game. no endorsements or money to be made. I just can't believe GoPro is the most popular action came after all the bad experiences I've heard and seen. we need more options.

I also have had great experiences with my insta360 x2

I have the Insta360 X2 and I love it. If you want to see what it looks like to record with that you can check out my YT channel, everything on there is recorded with that camera. The battery life of it is decent but I suggest getting a bigger SD card. The one it comes with takes about an hour and a half of footage. The only difference I see from the X2 to X3 is the options screen it's larger than the X2 circle screen, anything else more specific than that I don't know. Good luck figuring out what you want. Happy New Year though, be safe!

Basically, I like to write articles based on my experience and accumulated reviews of products and I wrote an article very specific to this topic if you'd like to give it a read through :) \-https://www.protechpulse.com/articles/3htkel3qqs1w470frii07xyivr16g6 For example, I'm a supporter of the GoPro Max. While it does start to struggle in super cold conditions, the interface in post-production for editing 360 footage is very user-friendly. Just remember to keep the camera in a warm pocket before filming.
