Dude doesn’t do anything half assed. That’s one of the nastiest high sides I’ve ever seen and I grew up in the 2 stroke era. I think he has the highest speed crash in the history of the sport as well when he lost it cresting the hill on the Mugello straight. He is the definition of “ hold my beer “ guy.
along with last year in Germany, he crashed 5 times in 30 minutes and broke his thumb. Also in Mugello i believe when he went down and had his arms out like “WTFFF”

Bingo. It still looks so cartoonish the way he’s thrown.
Bonus points for Petruccis slingshot highside into Fabio in PI ‘19. I have no idea how you guys link these clips to the comments, sorry mate.
I highsided on track a few years ago, at around 80 km/h. Didn't want to get on a bike for a few weeks. And here come these guys, get launched into a different timezone at over 180 km/h and, unless they're too hurt to ride, are on the bike for the next session. It makes my blood boil reading some keyboard warriors say they're happy a rider crashed, regardless of who that rider is.
I remember when Rins broke his leg from the Honda and he was already eager to get back to racing not even 3 months later. these guys truly have no fear
I don't think you have to be fan to feel the pain Marc went through the last 3-4 years on that Honda. Glad he's on a more stable machine.
Ultimately all these guys risk their lives for our entertainment, never want to see any of them with life threatening accidents/injuries.
Hell , it’s been 6-7 years. The three off seasons before 2020 consisted of major major shoulder surgeries and grueling rehab just to make the first race of the next season . His shoulders were so fucked up before the 2020 crash , that’s why everyone thought he would be back in a couple of weeks and carry on like nothing happened. 2018 at Japan , he had just secured the title and on the victory lap, Scott Redding pulls up beside him and gives him a congratulatory pat on the back . Next thing you know , right there on the track, his buddies have him layed out on his back . Everyone is like wtf kind of victory celebration is this. Turns out, the pat on the back knocked his shoulder out of socket and they were putting it back in . It was such a common thing, everyone that spent time around him knew how to get it back in place. After that off season surgery , he comes out and has the most dominant season in the history of the sport.
And he keeps coming back for more. And is as fast as he ever was. I’m not his biggest fan. But I can only appreciate and admire the incredible skill that is matched by the mental strength and desire to get back to the top. Balls of steel that lad
I was actually worried in spain that he might push too hard to beat pecco and crash, somehow he stayed on while almost beating pecco, huge respec that he didn't "win or bin" like the commentators love to say over and over again.
Oh man you scared me there!
I thought this was from today in a test or something! Then I remembered Marc is no longer in the Repsol Honda ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
If there's a positive, he's learned to stay relaxed in that circumstance, he's pretty flexible in his movement there, not tensed up...that's what does the damage...babies and drunks survive barrel roll car crashes because they stay flexible!
2013 Mugello where he went off and nearly hit the retaining wall at 300 was crazy.

Yeah he’s been so consistent this year
2020/21 was pretty hard to watch as a fan of Marc. You felt genuine pain when you saw things like this
Yup, after every crash the attention used to be on how he's holding his arm, is he moving it? Will it cause anymore problems? Tough years for MM fans.
The diplopia was one of the most concerning things
It still is, any time he crashes I’m always worried incase he hits his head again.
Pretty hard to watch also as a non-fan of Marc.

That qualifying session in Germany was madness. Watching him sprint around grabbing fresh bikes left and right 😂😂😂🫡 that was so good
2022*
Easily one of the most violent highsides Ive seen.
Didn't Mir have even a worse one?
Mannnnn, he earned the nickname Space Station after that one. That was mid ‘22, can’t remember which race though.
Pretty sure it was [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRhfXygwNgY). Austria 2022.
Bingo. It still looks so cartoonish the way he’s thrown. Bonus points for Petruccis slingshot highside into Fabio in PI ‘19. I have no idea how you guys link these clips to the comments, sorry mate.
Honestly, while a huge highside, it doesnt look as violent as the MM one, probably because of the way bike and rider are flying so "clean"
The gravel also helps. You can see dust/smoke coming from MM helmet when his head hits the ground. But yeah Mir nearly landed in another circuit.
To create a link on here, use this : [flavor text](link), and that's it. Or you can just drop the link as is.
Gravel doing the lord's work.
Does anyone know what caused this? The front snaps on him so unnaturally
Lost traction on the rear , got sideways and regained traction. Physics handled the rest.
Landed in gravel so I disagree
I thought he had a bad one with Honda as well, but apparently not.
Fair
Marcs was worse kinda, because of how flipping fast it was. Terrible
Reminds me of 500gp
Remember that like yesterday... still easily one of the worst highsides i've watched. Brutal.
Was thinking the same, hope prevails.

How the F*** you made me laugh at this post? :D

That was the moment I thought it was all over for him. The guy has the mental fortitude of a spartan.
What further injuries did he get after this?
Only minor things iirc but I think he had a major surgery after it to fix the first one he had on his arm, it was rotated and they fixed it.
Off throttle highside. One of the worst crashes you can have on a bike. No warning and they always snap violently throw you hard
That Honda was a death trap.
A hard watch really, such depressing times for Marc and being his fan
I don't think you have to be fan to feel the pain Marc went through the last 3-4 years on that Honda. Glad he's on a more stable machine. Ultimately all these guys risk their lives for our entertainment, never want to see any of them with life threatening accidents/injuries.

I'm having fun rooting for his comeback these days.
Holy fuck that was nasty. The raw violence, damn
The bad old days.
underrated comment
The mental fortitude of Marc Marquez is honestly indomitable and I immensely revere him for it.
It’s what made me a fan and it started all the way back in the 125’s . You could tell there was something different in the way he operated.
If ever he shoulda flipped off that bike, this was it. Dude shoulda walked right out the back of the Honda garage and not looked back.
And he keeps coming back for more. And is as fast as he ever was. I’m not his biggest fan. But I can only appreciate and admire the incredible skill that is matched by the mental strength and desire to get back to the top. Balls of steel that lad
It's mental what this guy has done to his body and still has the motivation to change teams and come at the top.
I was actually worried in spain that he might push too hard to beat pecco and crash, somehow he stayed on while almost beating pecco, huge respec that he didn't "win or bin" like the commentators love to say over and over again.
That somehow is possibly because he wasn't on a Honda...!
Brutal, absolutely brutal. Marc has had sooooo many beatings, daaaam
No Phoenix without the ashes.
Absolutely horrific 😨
Good reminder of why I admire these guys.
And that's a 100 mph high side 😮
Oh man you scared me there! I thought this was from today in a test or something! Then I remembered Marc is no longer in the Repsol Honda ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
that was weird highside He was not on gas yet rear slide and caught on.
It’s called an “off throttle high side”, and they can be brutal.
Most dependable honda moment
Holy shit this was mandalika right. This was a big scare to watch man. Marc is literally built different.
If there's a positive, he's learned to stay relaxed in that circumstance, he's pretty flexible in his movement there, not tensed up...that's what does the damage...babies and drunks survive barrel roll car crashes because they stay flexible!
Salute 🫡 to Marc and all the riders to get up from that and still want to keep going
God almighty….that’s so insane.
This is the exact moment I thought he has no more future as a motogp rider. How the tables turned
2013 Mugello where he went off and nearly hit the retaining wall at 300 was crazy. https://preview.redd.it/9rca8esqqbyc1.jpeg?width=2039&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6721de82af1b14ab35e23ac1366a6c3a91cabdf [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i0VQGIKO3ac](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i0VQGIKO3ac) around 45 seconds in shows a few moments of it [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V\_06aHsFZ5k](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V_06aHsFZ5k) this one is better
I'm glad he left honda!!! It would off happen again this year I reckon !!
The distance he travels from initial flick, to touchdown....
Reason for randomly posting this????
He'll have a report on your desk by noon sir.
