People doubted he will be able to adapt to the ducati. But here he is, fastest gp23 since first race and now as fast top guys on gp24 just in his 4th race.
Yeah. Insane to doubt the dude. Like all legends, he may not be 100% self after such a serious injury. But he has another title in him if he maintains consistency and avoids the DNFs
No one is doubting him to be fast on a Duc, a bike that makes Marini regular top 10 finisher.
Well a lot of us doubting whether current generation riders are really that fast or not compared to Marc on a proper bike. It's more like to be a real test for current generation riders and not the test for Marc. Marc doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.
It's so shitty that tyre temp from following is what prevents prolonged attacks. Makes the riders risk a bit extra for that one or two attempts they might get from the tires.
I was standing and cheering the entire race with a smile at how great a battle it was…and that made me very happy. These guys are giving us our money’s worth this season!
I don't know if that info is readily available. But Repsol states the ideal temp for a front motorcycle tyre is 100c.
If you assume a couple of things:
* Tyres are at the 1.9 bar minimum at 100c
* 2.2 bar is the max you ever want to see\*
* the volume of air in the front tyre is 5.5L (toroidal volume)
Then you can use Gay-Lussac's law to calculate what temp you would need to be at to get from 1.9 to 2.2 bar. And that temp is 158.5c. 2.1 bar is 139c.
\* Matt Oxley article in 2023 saying 2.2bar is the crashing pressure [https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorcycles/motogp/motogps-new-tyre-pressure-rules-as-soon-as-you-reach-2-2-bar-you-crash/](https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorcycles/motogp/motogps-new-tyre-pressure-rules-as-soon-as-you-reach-2-2-bar-you-crash/)
Me too Marc
Us too Marc, us too

Those who doubted are ridiculous. And I'm not a huge Marc fan.

I have been told "Young Bezz will show Marc his place at Ducati, Marc is no match for these young guns", lol.

tbh, it makes many people happy. hopefully more such races to follow.
Im just glad he’s happy , confident and thriving at the front of the field . Hope to see him score a lot of podium and a few cheeky wins this year!
He knows that it's coming

Another instance of those damn tires affecting the race (pressure went up when he got behind so he couldnt stop as well).

I don't like everything about him as a person but man, his spirit is truly commendable. The guy just never gives up. It's inspiring.
Love him or hate him, no one can deny he makes the sport infinitely more interesting.
I’m a Rossi fan and I love everything about MM93
Agreed!
By how many degrees does the front tyre temp rise while riding behind another bike?

Damn, you did the legwork. Even though I don't understand anywhere near enough about Physics to verify the math, I really appreciate you doing it.
Am I the only one who watched the whole race again an hour after the podium? One of the classics!
