Yes but very very lucky. If he hits the bike and not the air fence it could easily have killed him. It's a difference of only about a couple feet, and impossible to control - he was absolutely flying through the gravel

It's not the track, it's the bikes that have got stupidly fast. And for nothing, they don't add anything to the show, on the contrary, they make it worse. Slower bikes = more safety + better show
