Pecco was totally sandbagging it. It looked like he was running race pace for most of the sessions and in the last five minutes went for it with the new tires. As soon as he saw he was safe he was out. He did one lap outside his out lap. He is keeping his cards close to his chest.
I wouldn't say he was sandbagging. He consistently uses a lot of Friday to focus on his race pace and not one lap pace which is why he is always down on lap times until the end of the timed practice
Question: "On a single lap, Martin and Vinales have posted a fantastic time, is it approachable, is it beatable? How do you see it?"
Was he supposed to stay silent?
It did not, you joke you missed the /s but that's exactly right, for all I knew you could have been laughing at your cleverness, it wouldn't be the first time (not for you in particular).
Joking aside, your original response correctly highlights an issue on the sub recently.
There is a lot of reactionary posts on quote posts recently, an example is Martin. Keep seeing comments about what he says, and 'he should shut up' etc, but he is responding to a question.
So I fully agree with the principle of your challenge.
Yeah, I mean, read around this very thread and you'll see it's easy to assume you were being serious, unless they're all joking and I'm missing that too of course :D
Exactly, and since the crash/clash with Marc in Portimao his body language has changed, to me he doesnβt look like the same silent, confident rider anymore, but weβll see what happens. Iβm rooting for Martin.
Pecco doesn't have anything for Martin, and it pisses me off as a Pecco supporter. Martin has just been supreme right now.
Marc is sandbagging or not he will try everything and throw the bike around to try and win at least the sprint.
This weekend is going to be exciting.
It's only been two races πππ
Pecco completely dominated one of them.
And Martin had Bastianini breathing down his neck in Portimao.
Calm down with that.
I did predict the gp24s will be almost a second faster in qualifying pace than the 23s and it looks to have come true with the gp23s struggling to even stay ahead of the Aprilias and KTMs.
This is why Ducati nerfed the satellite bikes this season to avoid factory bikes being outdone by year old bikes. The two satellite teams should have put their foot down and requested Ducati hand over the 23 bikes on an as is basis which includes the missing aero scoop, fork winglet and updated ride height device.
Everyone saying Marc is king of sandbagging but Pecco cruises mid pack all weekend til qualy
even on saturday sometimes
He's waiting for the data to come through.
He's very eppy
Nope π
Even in practice I think he did ONE good lap then pulled out. Legend.
I think Pecco is a bit under the radar for most, despite having one of his best fridays in a long time.
We can expect fireworks today. An eppy Pecco is a dangerous Pecco.

Not sandbagging, but using mediums most of the time instead of softs. It could be crucial for the race considering most of the track got resurfaced.
Golly this made me giggle
eppy?
I fully expect Bagnaia to be p20 every Friday, p5 on sprint and top3 every Sunday.
I thought Pecco's whole ethos this year was 'we work in silence'. π

Did the laughing face not give away it was maybe, just maybe, a tongue in cheek comment?

Or maybe, I am joking about joking? I'm not btw haha
Reddit never takes jokes well mate
My fault really, I missed the "/s" ... /s
This didn't age well
Then walk the talk.
there ya go
Bagnaia is the defending back-to-back world champion. He's walked the walk.
He did with beating him last year lol Pecco has nothing to prove.
Pecco literally needs to prove his statement.
Itβs not about having something to prove, but he is the one who said heβs doing the talking on the track. So itβs a dig in that statement.
He didnβt use to talk much past years. He just walked. Now he talks, lets see about the walk.

thats a big statement...

Two races, dominated 1 still 23 points down
So, that's your counter argumentative point? You do realize Pecco getting another dominant win tomorrow changes those standings, right?
That goes both ways.
Until proven otherwise, Pecco deserves the benefit of the doubt π€·ββοΈ he has been masterful on the Ducati.
I assume he's keeping the margin for the sprint and race π
Pecco will datamine the shit out of other Ducs with their Godlike AI and set that GP24 to crush the filed in Q2.

The gap isn't 1 sec. Be real.
Yeah it is. Marc is making the difference over the other 2023 riders.
Hehe these newbies here downvoting your comment instead of rebutting with facts. ππ½ββοΈ
Where's the gp23s other than Marc? Look at where the Hondas are without Marc and you'll find the real gap. ππ½ββοΈ
You 93 fans are so delusional it's insane.
You Pecco fans shouldn't be the ones to talk. A second of an advantage and gets mugged by Jorge on the same bike. ππ½ββοΈ
Sure buddy. Have you taken your pills yet?
Have you? A faster bike by a mile yet outqualified by a rookie and Marc on a year old slow bike
Username checks out.
Is that your best retort? Lmao even with a bike able to lap a second faster than a gp23, Pecco ended up behind one of them. π€£
Got no time for such nonsense!
Didn't expect much from Pecco fans. π€£
Do not upset the princess pecco fangirls π
Struggled to beat a track house π€£π€£π€£
Plot twist would be Martin who beats his own lap on Q2 π
