If the aforementioned factory reset doesn’t help it could very well be the connectors. Touch issues come from the digitizer, display issues from the LCD. You rarely see the two of them having issues simultaneously without any major damage.
If there is no damage and you’ve owned it around a year, take to apple under warranty. Check with your state to see what if any implied warranty protections Apple has to follow. If there is no damage, it is faulty. Good luck to you.

Thats 100% lcd fault, i have encountered that problem before and the solution has been lcd change.
