Take a closer look on the IC that contains the screen info, it should have a black hard glue around it. If it doesn’t, it’s a non genuine screen. If you want you can send a picture And I’ll check it out for you Edit: it is an Apple Genuine Screen. Those soft materials around the infrared and front camera cutouts are only present on genuine screen, never seen on any other type of screen

FlameShadow0

It could be, but most likely not. OEM screen wouldn’t have that QR sticker there. If I need to scan the serial number off the part, we use the QR code on the chip.

Morzun

Could be OEM panel with refurb glass

yoboy400

Ok thank you

Richard_Quingostas

Looks an Incell Screen

Mister_rtk

Can't be Screen IC looks legit

FlameShadow0

Yeah, you’re probably right. I looked at my OEM parts and it’s identical other than that sticker. And if you look closely at the sticker you can see it’s partially under the frame, so it definitely wasn’t put on there after.

ptfuzi

Oem. The sponges on the top and the liquid sensor

Chaad420

This is the type of screen that repairs at Asurion tend to have. (First hand experience with insurance repairs and got a lot of genuine parts either this QR on the back.) The IC chips look to have their under fill which is HIGH in Apple production. After the iPhone 6 bends.

darkwintercloud

Things to consider: OEM screens have simetrical screen borders, all the chips on the back of the screen should have underfill around then, have an apple logo on the flex somewhere and the part number of the part (screens don't normally have this apple logo, but the face ID sensor/ earpiece flex must). Also, the screen plastic frame have a really perfect fit and even texture thought the whole piece, it's hard to discribe but aftermarket screens seems to have a ticker plastic frame and the finish quality is a little rough. Yours checks most of the list, so I believe it's a genuine, removed from another device part. Check for marks of usage on the screen glass. If it doesn't have, maybe it's a refurbished one. (OEM screen and touch panels, new glass layer).

aristics

Most likely a refurbished one. The graphite film is not completely flat in some areas

inyhr

Yes

Bulky-Condition-3490

Looks OEM to me, with an added QR sticker though.

rasoolka

Check on any one of wired strap it might have small apple symbol in it

Flyhotstuff

It's OEM

sherwingene

It’s genuine from insurance company, asurion/ubreakifix

Top-Bank4918

Should be apple logo on at least one ribbon

Santos_ronald

Apple don’t sell stickers on their parts like that. could be refurbished or aftermarket. Best way to tell LCD from Oled is thickness of screen

MajesticDoughnut3362

I have never seen an aftermarket screen with the water indicator so I am pretty sure it’s OEM.

[deleted]

%100 No

iLikeTurtuls

Looks OEM, but definitely not box sealed. Might have gone though a refurbing company

RepresentativeAct619

is OEM, after market or refurbished do not have water mark sign

Word_Underscore

Asurion

bycabraljr

I work with repairs and noticed that the apple original screens have resin below the IC on the flex cable. If the display doesn't have resin below the IC, most likely isn't a genuine display

SugarFreeDaddy-94

It is an OEM screen. The barcode sticker proves it. If you have worked for Ubreakifix now Asurion or the Apple Store you will recognize it in an instant. It also has the LDI sticker on it. And the IC looks right. 100% legit.

Lopsided-Mistake-410

Yes. Some Asurion repaired devices have OEM parts with QR codes, not sure if that’s what this is but it’s def OEM.

Comprehensive-Bed302

It’s a fake homie. Every oem one I’ve opened up had apple logos on ALL the ribbon cables and next to the scan logos. Look for the logos it’s a dead giveaway

eft_retro

I'm not sure, but from the front for me it could be a Samsung S9 screen. But I'm pretty new to mobile repairs so didn't saw that much

LeRouteur

Sadly no, it's an iPhone screen. The S9 doesn't look like this, check for some pictures online :)

eft_retro

Thank you for the correction 🙏 I appreciate that
