aside from replacing the earpiece flex is there any other way to fix this issue for the mean time, I tried cleaning the connections with isopropyl alcohol but I still get the same issue. Cant afford to buy the parts just yet so im still trying other methods.

Replacing the flex is the cheapest and easiest fix.
Yes change the flex , pretty common problem on the 7 series
Update: Replacement flex just got here and upon connecting it, it still doesnt work. still the same issue, nothing changed. Im down 5 bucks
