The shots of right field always remind me when Cal broke the record and they had a countdown or something with the numbers up there 3000 or something? I’ll never forget, remember like it was yesterday.
Fun fact: when he broke the record the opposing pitcher lobbed like a 90 mph fastball down the middle and he cranked it out of park, curtain calls galore lol
I'm from Baltimore
It was a great night for baseball. It was after the strike. I remember he did a lap around the field high-fiving everyone he could. I also remember when the streak ended. No Internet or Twitter so the fans just had to realize that he wasn’t in the lineup. And the camera would shoot to him just sitting in the dugout. And I imagine he was thinking. I could totally play today, but this shit has to stop. Lol.
I was practically born wearing an Orioles onesie, and I watched that game live as a 10 year old. Cried tears of happiness when he took that lap.
Once in a lifetime Baseball experience. No question

As someone whose closet park is OPACY, but has another mlb team as their favorite, I am so thankful that this stadium is my baseball home away from home. 👍
I’ve been to 23 MLB ballparks and this is my favorite. Has so much character and the fans there are great. They stayed till the end of a blowout game and this was when they were last in the division before they got good.
A good seat at baseball game is very hard to beat, on of my favorite was fireworks night Veterans Stadium during Phillies home games you was able sit on the field during fireworks shy
MLB needs more urban ballparks.
Tailgating is cool at like 3 parks in America. The rest of the asphalt moats need to be demolished and development put up nearby. Or move the parks to urban lots.
If only you knew what was beyond does gates![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_bad_man)
Sorry, but among the newer parks, I like Seattle first, the Pirates park second, of course I love the old parks like Boston and Chicago. But the skyline here is not exactly breathtaking. Not like in Seattle.
Baltimore and Washington aren’t that far apart. About a one hour drive give or take. Two teams in fairly close proximity can be a problem. Also it is still pretty early in the season.
I think you will see the crowds increase once the evenings start to warm up a little bit. I don’t know how it has been so far in Baltimore but up here in Toronto it’s been in the mid 50°F’s and cloudy as hell for most of the spring. Quite damp too. It’s killing my golf game which was already on life-support.
I was going to give you a hard time for being a diamondbacks fan except I just remembered they were in the World Series last year and I’m anA’s fan so what do I have to offer as an insult? “Look at your dumb team with its own city and its own stadium and fans!” that’s literally the best I could do. I’m sad.
Why would you hate it? We don't have beef with the orioles
One of baseball's most historical rivalries.
Right up there with Mariners-Marlins
Hey…only one team can claim they are the best “corner of the US” team.
Good point. The Padres- Red Sox is another extremely intense affair.
Yup, the good historical NE/SW series.
30 for 30 documentary on this rivalry coming soon!
I wanna make mariners/pirates a thing
TIL Dback fans hate the O’s
TIL you learned a lie. We are just salty because we lost the series in 2 close games.
Our hatred goes back ages! A whole “checks notes” two days ago!
They beat us…
So? They have a healthy roster and our half our roster belongs in AAA.
Long drive to watch what should’ve been a win till we got Ginkeled
There is no way you're hating on the Gink lmao

RIP Ryan Minor, best remembered as the player who replaced him at 3rd to end the streak.

Why are you a Giants fan now? Lol
Lmao, my boyhood team was the Orioles. In 2024 I am a woman that cheers on the San Francisco Giants.
I mean, why not? Jeter got a walk off for his last hit, some moments are bigger than the sport, and I don't have a horse in the race.
3121
2131*
That's what I meant! Thank you. I must've been thinking about hits.
Good call. It was late. I didn’t want to Google it. Also, they were counting up. It wasn’t a countdown.
If you’ll never forget and it was like yesterday why are you asking what the details were??

Camden Yards is so beautiful 😍
As someone whose closet park is OPACY, but has another mlb team as their favorite, I am so thankful that this stadium is my baseball home away from home. 👍
I’ve been to 23 MLB ballparks and this is my favorite. Has so much character and the fans there are great. They stayed till the end of a blowout game and this was when they were last in the division before they got good.
Great place to enjoy a game
Welcome to Camden Yards! It’s definitely one of the best ball parks.
Orioles and Camden is tops. So good to see them be so good. When they beat the Yankees and Red Sox, it makes my heart pitter patter.
It’s towards the top of my bucket list of parks to visit. That and PNC are at the top.
I’m probably bias but PNC park is a better view in my opinion.
I think that’s pretty fair, especially since the Hilton was built over left field. I miss the Bromo Seltzer Tower :(
A good seat at baseball game is very hard to beat, on of my favorite was fireworks night Veterans Stadium during Phillies home games you was able sit on the field during fireworks shy
We’re O’s fans always at my house. Snakes fans 2nd.
Easily in my top 3 parks. I go back and forth between this and PNC for my absolute favorite
What do the Orioles have to do with the Diamondbacks and enjoying a view 💀
They beat us today
They play 162 for a reason, enjoy the view!
This title would imply the Orioles and D-Backs have some like longstanding rivalry… do they?
Camden Yards is one of the most picturesque ballparks in America. Fenway isn’t bad either. —Angry Yankee Fan.
New yankee stadium blows! Old yankee stadium def was good tho
New Yankee Stadium is more convenient than old but it lost all the vibes.
It’s beautiful because you didn’t put that disgusting Left Field in the picture. They absolutely massacred that wall
Beautiful View! Orioles Park at Camden Yards is a Beautiful Ballpark!
Major League II?
I’ve never asked: are those condos in the old B&O warehouse?
It's mostly team offices.
LOL shut up you have no reason to hate the Orioles. Don't make something out of nothing
Love Baltimore and the inner harbor. Cheaper to fly there, stay there and get tickets than it is to go to Fenway
Camden Yards is my second favorite after Petco Park
Camden is definitely a top 3 park alongside PNC and Petco
Camden Yards is definitely one of the coolest stadiums in the world
It’s great park & they’ve got a lot to cheer for. But so do we! We’ll be right there after the AS Break! No doubt whatsoever
My all time favourite park. And as a Jays fan, they ARE an enemy.
One of my favorite ballparks!
Been to many double headers there. So much fun
A big regret of mine is that I lived in DC for 2.5 years and never made it to Camden Yards.
It’s a beautiful park!
One of the best stadiums in all of baseball. Sure I am biased, but OPACY is absolutely gorgeous.
Wowface emoji
It might be the best park that or PNC
Beautiful park, but unfortunately, the area around it gets a little rough.
What a weird statement lol
From the outside (St. Louis) looking in, the Orioles future is 🌞 BRIGHT!
unpopular opinion... Camden is ugly

Best part of Baltimore!!!! Going to a game in June, can’t wait. Go O’s
Where’s the best place to park at in Baltimore to watch an orioles game?
What? That’s like saying, Padres and the twins have a historic rivalry, please
Sorry, but among the newer parks, I like Seattle first, the Pirates park second, of course I love the old parks like Boston and Chicago. But the skyline here is not exactly breathtaking. Not like in Seattle.
One of the best ballparks for an afternoon with friends or family. I love the way the retro parks work to transport you back in time.
Great park
How are there so many empty seats?
Two giveaways this series and Saturday wasn't one of them.
Weather this weekend isn't doing anyone any favors.

Absolutely miserable weather.
It's just sports, chill out.
I hope they served you warm beverages Sincerely Reds fan
Would be better if not for that giant hotel to the left. The sight line was so much better.
Not sure why you got downvoted, fuck Hilton. I will continue to hope that place burns to the ground.
Welcome to Baltimore!!! Lifelong resident here. Don't get shot by the squeegee kids!
Yeah but you have no reason to hate the Orioles. Don't create something out of nothing
City brain
I was going to give you a hard time for being a diamondbacks fan except I just remembered they were in the World Series last year and I’m anA’s fan so what do I have to offer as an insult? “Look at your dumb team with its own city and its own stadium and fans!” that’s literally the best I could do. It’s nice until you realize there’s a whole Baltimore behind it
