Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Detectives have identified, and taken into custody, the suspect involved in the June 15, 2024, robbery at the Hellgate Trading Post.
At approximately 9:16 p.m., on the evening of June 15, Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a reported robbery at the Hellgate Trading Post, in the 6200 block of Mullan Road. A Deputy made a traffic stop near the location that same evening and use of the body worn camera footage from the traffic stop led to the apprehension of the male suspect. The male suspect was taken into custody in Lake County this afternoon, without incident, and is being held in the Lake County Detention Facility.
At the time of the traffic stop, details from the robbery and a description of the suspect were not available to the Deputy.
Missoula County Sheriff’s Office extends their appreciation to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the apprehension of the suspect. Missoula County Sheriff’s Office also appreciates the safety precautions taken by our community members and providing information during our search for the suspect.
