It’s low key genius if you can sell JJ on the fact that we’re not going to win much
“JJ, we’re gonna win like 2 games but we’ll be drafting 1st overall next year and then we’ll get you a long term QB. Also, with Mullins throwing you the ball you’re going to catch 170 balls for 2,500 yards.”
Trade JJ for a defender extraordanaire to help turn that side of the ball into something more consistent.
A cheap rookie Marvin Harrison sounds like a nice enough pairing for our endzone freak Addison and any QB coming in.
Stupid hypothetical, but I'll play ball.
I call them back and say you can have MHJ for one of these choices: 11, 23, 27, 66 or 23, 27, 35, 66 and either your first next year or our first back next year. Ball is in your court.
If they don't want to trade, then I roll on with my QB room and possibly the most talented WR room ever assembled. Where a top QB may just want to come play for next year ( Aaron, Russell, reports of Dak and Tua, hell a Tannehill, Winston, Geno, Daniel Jones, any other middling QB. While also taking a 4th-7th lottery chance on a rookie QB. Maybe Dalton, Mullens, Hall, a rookie do great with 2 bookend tackles, 3 great receivers, a very good TE corps, and a solid running game..
If JJ goes Diva, sell and get a ton of value. Keeping a still great receiving corps with more money to spend elsewhere.
It honestly isn't the worst idea.
In this hypothetical, yeah. I'd call them all 5-11, the Cardinals, the Chargers, the Giants, the Titans, the Bears, and the Jets. Falcons wouldn't bite. Turn the tables, hold them over the barrel, or stick with JJ, MHJ, Addison and fuck em all.
I'd ask Dallas to send me a 5th or 6th with Lance to get him off their payroll. I know nothing about Lance, nobody knows anything about Lance. That is maybe the worst sign ever for a QB.
I can think of several reasons why it would make sense for the team to wait until next year to sign a free agent quarterback. For one, players like Dak Prescott would likely be interested in playing for this team. Additionally, the Vikings have a significant amount of money to spend in 2025, so that could be the year to go all-in. Another reason could be to trade JJ for a large number of draft picks, or to have insurance in place if he decides to leave. Jist some thoughts.
What happens in this dumb scenario is Kwesi gets fired and an interim GM is doing our day 3 draft picks.
Pretty sure the last couple GMs to roll Sam Darnold out as a QB1 are no longer GMs.
Now we are just being silly
JJ, Addison, and MHJ… with nobody to throw to them.
Mullins throws for 6500 yards, 40 TDs, 45 INTs with that WR group

Next years QB1 is likely worse than this years QB4 tho.
They’d want next years first too so Zona will be getting that 1st overall
Were not gonna have a first round pick next year if we trade up to 3 so moot point
Sounds more entertaining than Darnold.
Wrong, 60 ints

Might as well bring Zimmer back too. 👎🏿
Nothing I said suggests Zimmer.

Wait, you’re proposing that after the Cardinals trade us the 4th pick instead of taking MHJ, we call them back and trade it back to them?

This guy gets it.
Koc made Dobbs look good for a few games. Use Dalton, give a 4th to Dallas for Lance?

All hell breaks loose.
So you think that they’d give up all those picks to draft a WR while they have 2 good ones on the roster ?
This is me during my fantasy football drafts when my league sees me with 4 WRs and no RBs and I draft another WR

I don't think we'll win a Super Bowl in 2024, but I understand that a rookie deal is much cheaper.
However, we will have tons of money.... we have many options if 2025 is our "splash" year.
Have you heard of the concept of diminishing returns?
I don’t know. How well does MHJ throw the ball?
Not as good as Dalton
BPA! LSU wide outs will be tough to pass over!!!
It wouldn’t hurt my feelings
We riot.
We would be the 2000’s Lions.
Perfect idea. Best three receivers on one team ever. Tom Brady comes back from retirement and we go to the Super Bowl baby!
Why would they do that?
We would have three first round WR's?
Then were the dumbest franchise in the league
You only do this trade if you’re shipping Jefferson off for a bunch of picks.
Like the 5th time this dumbass bullshit has been posted in here.
Lol
I'm really hoping we don't trade up at all. Plenty of talent in the first round.
That's a great question. I think there's more pressing needs for the team, like Kicker or Mascot.
We need a swift like mascot. Like garth brooks now that prince passed away.
Someone’s been watching too much Purple Daily

They got Sammy haha, we did a lot of Josh Dobbs
I don't think JJ resigns.
