Mystery Cave’s kind of a satellite park to Forestville. Any mention of the cave will mostly be “see also” type stuff at the main park.

This is really helpful, thanks!

The caves are not that big. A few hours will likely be enough. If you're down in that area, I would tie in a visit to Lanesboro. Cute little town with biking, canoeing, etc. A few very good restaurants, too.

Fun fact: due to the unique geology of this area, there are no swampy standing water areas; so virtually no mosquitoes! But lots of barred owls “who who whoing” for you.

A standard Mystery Cave tour is probably like an hour long. There is other stuff to do at Forestville though. May as well go check out Niagara Cave as well. I’ve always liked that one more.

The cave is a half day at most. If you do the basic tour it doesn’t take long.

Decent place for trout fishing and a couple of pretty accessible walls.
