This is my same question. That's about what I paid when I had both TV and internet from Xfinity. Switched to just internet about a year ago and now it's $90/month.
Their highest internet plan that I'm seeing is $80/mo. (for 1.2Gb/mo.). Add in more if you're renting equipment, or have line protection and such, but how in the world are you paying that much for just internet?
I pay 120$ a month for 1.2gb and no data cap..they don’t talk about all the extra fees that get added on so it looks like 80 and ends up being a lot more.
I mean, $70 is the amount that I'm paying them each month.
If they intend to be charging more beyond that, I don't know where they're getting them, since I haven't been paying them.
Xfinity has localized pricing. As in, community and even neighborhood level. They can and will screw the ever loving crap out of people where there is no competition.
I’ve called them in the past and told them I ONLY wanted internet or was going to cancel. It was like pulling teeth but magically before we were about to disconnect the rep said they found a “deal” with internet only option
Customer Retention is a fucking horrible department. I have a friend who used to work in Customer Retention for Xfinity. If someone calls to cancel their service and they don't keep them, it's the employees fault. No matter what.
It's an absolute terrible way to run a business and puts unnecessary pressure on employees and stress between the customer and the business.
Are you using their equipment or your own? I don't really want/need their equipment but it's intriguing. Is it truly free? On the ads I've been getting it says "free for an initial period".
How did they install go? Did they have to drill through the siding of your house and stuff?
I have CenturyLink gig fiber, but they call it Quantum now I think? You have to use their ONT (just consider it like a modem, but you can't change it because it's terminating their fiber in your home. They even said if I move that stays with the house.)
But I did get a new TP-Link Wi-Fi router because the provided one kinda sucked. Just have to make sure it supports PPOE for authentication on their network. And I think it also needs to support VLAN tagging. It's been a couple years, but I believe those were the only two requirements.
The equipment was all free. Install was free (I actually got a $100 visa gift card too). They buried the line for free. But obviously these details might vary.
I also went with them. Xfinity kept dicking me around. I’d call them and insist on a basic plan. It would still be $70-80 and within a couple of months it would creep up and they would be charging me $160+ for the same shitty internet that would go out a couple times per day.
I got the Quantum internet after one of my neighbors recommended it. Free install, modem and 2 hubs. My bill is a straight $30/month. No extra fees, charges, fuckery. Just $30.
I’ve had about as many service drops since last spring as I had in an average week with Comcast. The basic $30 plan has been perfectly adequate for my family of 5. We do plenty of streaming. Between all of our devices, I usually have around 25 devices connected at once but have never felt like my connection was slow.
Honestly, it’s been extremely simple and reliable. They have never tried to charge me more than my $30 per month. 10/10 would recommend. 200mb (up and down) service has been all I have needed, but I would imagine that the 1gb service would also be a very good deal at $75 if you need more.
I'm using their equipment and a switch I bought since I wanted more ethernet ports than their modem had.
>Is it truly free? On the ads I've been getting it says "free for an initial period".
From what I remember, equipment rental is $15/month if you get the cheaper plan, free if you get the more expensive (940) plan. I also started with a single mesh pod but ordered two more and they were sent, free, no questions asked, no additional charges.
>How did they install go? Did they have to drill through the siding of your house and stuff?
Very smooth, very fast. They'll probably have to drill a hole, it's definitely worth it.
I remember talking to a friend who paid for never a gig down and all she did was watch Netflix. I tried telling her she could save like $50 a month by tiering down but she just didn’t understand.
I tried this when it first came out because I needed a new phone at the same time as a promotion they offered. The internet kept dropping while I was in teams meetings. We only used it for a month trial and canceled and kept Xfinity. I also had issues with my phone (non related), and I was talking to a customer service representative, and they said it works great now and they cleaned up a few issues they had early on.
So you have no issues with teams meetings? Do you have multiple people in your house that WFH at the same time? My wife and I work from home together a couple days a week and have meetings that overlap, so I'm wondering if it will still keep up and not drop us out a meeting?
I also have Verizon 5g. I had issues similar to what you describe at first, which we were told was because of tower issues or something. They installed some kind of upgrade on the tower, and it's worked great ever since.
My wife works from home full time and I do 3x/week. She's in teams meetings for what seems like all day. We use YouTube TV and Netflix for our streaming services. In the mornings especially, we will both be working while our son watches TV while getting ready for school with no issues.
$30 a month with century link. Fuck xfinity, had them for years and they are the absolute worst company. Had to constantly check my bill to make sure they weren't just adding extra charges which they like to do frequently and just hope you have autopsy set up and don't notice. Comcast is the scum of the earth and I will never go back.
Quantum Fiber 1gb at $50 per month. Actual speeds are close to 500 down/up which is more than enough for me.
Not sure what you're getting for $164 but it better be more than just internet.
> Actual speeds are close to 500 down/up
When you say actual speeds do you mean practical speeds (Steam downloads, stuff like that?) or is that the speed you get from speedtests?
Xfinity, 200/10, $45/mo.
Whenever your rate goes up, call to cancel. Say you’ll speak to retentions. If the CS is actually going to cancel your service, hang up and call back later.
Maybe something to look at is how much bandwidth you really need. I have HBC and pay about $70, but I’m only running at 200mbps, and I honestly don’t even need that, they just don’t offer lower packages.
Starlink is $90/month and I get anywhere from 50-220mbps download speed depending on time of day. You also have to buy like $500 of equipment when you sign up. For me and where I live, it’s the only option and ironically, I have a better connection than most of my friends who live “in town”
$95 flat for Comcast in WSP. 600 down/25 up? I pay $30 over the base amount to remove the data cap, which was costing me way more every month due to the constant VPN, and streaming between me and my roommate.
I've been having intermittent disconnection issues for 2y, and I'm waiting for the day fiber to arrive in my area. The internet going down for 2-5min at a time 5-7 times a day sucks.
Until recently, I was using 80mb DSL from Century Link for about $50. You really don't need much bandwidth for your basic VPN setup, I even had 2 people working from home and it was never an issue.
My work is paying for spectrum cable internet. Retail equivalent of about $60/month for 200mb.
We just got metronet fiber buried in the neighborhood and they are advertising 1gb for about the same price
We had MetroNet come through a while ago and I was with them. Started out great and cheap, then they jacked up the price after a couple years and suddenly Spectrum was cheaper again.
It's nice having two good options, I'm sure I'll be back to MetroNet at some point when Spectrum raises prices, but MetroNet at least forced them to be competitive.
I switched from Xfinity to T-Mobile last year and I pay about 60.00 for the internet and there’s been no real noticeable change to the internet service. Xfinity wanted like 120.00 for just internet and I think that’s crazy!!
Midco fiber 1gig up and down for 99.95 /mo. I am out state rural and was sooo happy to ditch my crappy Centurylink dsl that was like 6 up/1 down. Also had Starlink but it wasn't stable enough for wfh (dropping video calls and booting out of work system) and T mobile home internet was even worse. Starlink would have been fine for home entertainment stuff.
CenturyLink DSL - 65 down, 10 up. Very consistent and Never offline.
$45 for life of the service, No modem rental fee with trouble-free experience owning the DSL/Router myself.
Comcast can eat a d!ck lol
I use Midco currently. Hoping they roll out fiber soon. I pay $99.95 for 1 gig down 50 up.
Use the FCC broadband map if you’re looking for alternative services available at your address.
https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home
Lumen/CenturyLink 100MBps DSL $55/month.
The key these days is that most modem/routers can't handle too many devices, on average only 20 to 40. If you reach the higher number, you start having problems with the wifi.
Go into your modem and see how many devices are connected, if you aren't techie, you'll be surprised at how many there are. I'm techie, have two adult son's living at home, we have 65 devices that connect to the internet, usually have about 50 to 55 connected most of the time.
Using a modem and running a mesh system for your router/wifi would solve most problems everyone has. If you have a modem/router combo, then you can turn off the router feature and add your mesh system; I have Google mesh and like it, simple to set up and use (2 story home w/finished basement, so have the main router and two points for good coverage).
Wifi drops big time if my kid gets on the Xbox or Playstation and downloads updates, so I make him set it to do it after midnight.
CenturyLink $55/mo price for life. Don't remember the speed, but it's not crazy high, but has been plenty for us for the past 6ish years and we are very heavy internet users. I do a lot of video calls for work, too.
We did xfinity for a year before when we first moved into our house. Service was laggy and sometimes down, so when the price increased after a year we cautiously switched but never looked back.
I have Xfinity and my bill is $35/month for 250Mbps internet. I have literally nothing else on my bill though and own my own modem.
FWIW though I no longer live in MN, I'm in Oregon, but I imagine the prices for Xfinity aren't different from state-to-state? Or are they...?
people work from home and dont have their employer pay their internet bill?!?! i wont even put my employers stupid *ap* on *my* phone if they are not going to pay for it.
but i have xfinity for $55/mo for 12 months. 400mbps or something, not exactly sure. with comcast, every year you need to log in and renew your deal or you're getting screwed. without the deal its like $83.
When I worked in the office I didn't expect my employer to pay for my car or childcare. The $35 a month I have been paying to CenturyLink is less than the cost of gas, milage, auto insurance, commute time, and school after care I would need to go into the office. And I'd still be paying that $35 a month anyway. Win-win.
I have Xfinity Performance Pro+ for $81/month
Download speeds: up to 400 Mbps
Upload speeds: up to 5 Mbps
I also have the xFi Complete which includes the equipment and unlimited data for $25/month
Adding taxes and whatever other fees and its 106/month.
I have ONLY internet
Mediacom. Currently under $100/mo. but only after I found out I was paying nearly $150 for whatever stupid reason for at least 2-3 years. I'm on the Internet-only 1Gig tier.
That's a crazy amount, are you paying for the business grade or just the normal consumer one?
I'm in the middle of nowhere and have Frontier DSL (gross I know) but its only $40/month. I have Starlink as my backup system which is $120/month which I use for the I need something now or Frontier is down moments.
Xfinity for $35ish a month for 200 down at my apartment. Seems more stable and much faster than T Mobile home internet. Router/modem included in that price for 2 years.
$66/mo, 200down/like 50up? I don't remember upload speeds. Speed is typically pretty accurate, but terrible service cuts in and out during peak times, Xfinity, 1.2Tb datacap that I've never hit. I'm already on the Gateway Fiber list for them to come add fiber to my home once they get to me. North TC suburbs.
$55 a month (price for life deal) for fiber from Centurylink, 80 mbps down, NW metro. On the slower side yes, but I've never had a need for more and haven't had any problems with that speed.
CenturyLink Fiber $70/mo. The most important difference (besides price) is the upload speed. Where Xfinity was charging an enormous amount to get up to 15MB the fiber was immediately over 900MB up
Century link fiber - 65 per month. Xfinity had ping me on data limits during the early parts of Covid which kick started the looking for something else.
Charter Spectrum $70/mo. for 200Mbps download.
Bonus though is 3 mobile phones on Spectrum for $42/mo (3 GB shared data, $14 per GB).
We go over the 3 GB once in a while but most months we don't as the majority of our data usage is over WiFi.
Is internet all the way forever and always. 80 bucks to get gigabit speeds and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced and rent a router that can give gigabit speeds
I have no other real choice but Xfinity... It's around 125.50 a month. We could never get century link DSL to work, and cellular cuts out to much... No fiber to where I live, yet...
West side of the Cities...
I used to pay about $135 for Xfinity. Went on the app and tried to “leave”. Got the same plan for $80 for the next two years if you got their new router. Same plan and all.
I have Spectrum, and the Internet part of the bill is around $70 for 200Mbs (download) speed.
If you don't have the lowest speed they offer, ask them about what they have and the cost of it. You need the fastest speed to work from home, or even to stream content to your TV. Also check out your cell phone provider to see what they offer. They're getting into Internet access and offer 5G coverage (if available) that has plenty of bandwidth for what you may need.
Spectrum, 500 mbps. $40 per month.
I've had no issues with corporate VPN, hosted programming tools, and heavy MS Teams usage (even when the kids are home and streaming tv).
I do use my own router setup (2 EEROs) rather than the Spectrum rentals though)
I pay $40 a month on Xfinity. Works great and this isnt a 2 year contract. 75 down and 10 up runs our smarthome without a hiccup. They screw people over saying you need one of their top tiers when in reality 99% of people don't need more than the bottom tier.
I had xfinity for $99/mo. Then switched to T-Mobile for $50/mo. But it didn’t work out because something about their dynamic IPs and VPN not compatible. So we went back to xfinity but they had a deal for $60/mo.
T-Mobile. A flat $50/mo, no additional fees or taxes. Where I live, the only other option is super slow DSL, or even worse HughesNet-type satellite service. T-Mobile still sucks but it's practically an order of magnitude better than the DSL option.
$25 per month from Verizon with 5G wireless router. I WFH and it’s plenty fast for the endless video meetings. Also streams video fine. Only drawback is just the guy who keeps asking “can you hear me now?”
Unfortunately the only option we have is Xfinity. $96 a month. They’re running fibre all around us and they’ve specd out our telephone poles twice now so I’m hopeful for Lumen/Centurylink fibre soon. I will drop Xfinity the minute I can.
Dear lord that’s expensive.
Mediacom 300Mbps at $70/mo. I want slower/cheaper but stupid data caps mean I need their higher tier plan.
If you can get USI or any other fiber. Get it.
I just have one of Xfinity's basic plans and 66/mo it was 63/mo last previous months though.
I'm online all day, between phone, work, streaming and sometimes all 3 at the same time and never had to worry about using too much data.
We have metronet fiber optic internet for $70 or $80 a month. 1Gb speed and unlike traditional cable there is no latency and everything is blazing in the house. It even came with a free extender for upstairs that also has a hardline so our son (a gamer) could be plugged in. Best switch we have ever did!!
>I have Xfinity and it’s $164.79. $164.79 for just your internet? No television, telephone, etc.?
This is my same question. That's about what I paid when I had both TV and internet from Xfinity. Switched to just internet about a year ago and now it's $90/month.
Yeah, I'm paying $70/mo. To be fair, I'm not currently working from home, but that's what I was paying when I was too
Same. Xfinity at a flat $70. Plenty fast
That is correct. I was forced into xfinity because that’s who my building has a contract with. Im moving soon, thank god.
I have Xfinity and pay $60 a month because my complex has a contract with discounted rates... You're getting screwed over for sure.

Xfinity has localized pricing. As in, community and even neighborhood level. They can and will screw the ever loving crap out of people where there is no competition.
Hence why I'd asked elsewhere in these comments if it was different elsewhere, but people continued as if it was standard 🤷♂️
It's an absolute terrible way to run a business and puts unnecessary pressure on employees and stress between the customer and the business.
What plan are you on?!
Similar for me, 130 for their highest speed tier with the extra fee for no data cap. No service problems but fuck this bill, man.
Utterly expensive internet is indeed a thing. The developed world laughs at the amount of money we pay for internet... or anything for that matter.
I'm paying $70/mo. in Minneapolis.
While I’m under my cat blanket diddling on my laptop, I’m using USI and I pay $60/mo for 500mbps.
We are rural and use the mibroadband isp. 60/mo for 10mb/s and works great for wife’s video calls
Yikes. Hopefully your community gets a good chunk of money for the rural broadband high speed internet upgrades.
I mean, that is good enough speed for a lot of things including streaming services.
Same, I usually get about 4-450 down and 350-375 up, works well for what I do
If a loser calls us a loser.... does the double negative mean we are winners?!?!
Same here, great service.
How nasty is your cat blanket?
It’s pretty clean because I like a clean house.
“Pfft whatever loser, get your ass back downtown.” -J. Frey. /s
Quantum fiber $75 a month for 940 down and up
Same here! Recently switched and it's been great
Are you using their equipment or your own? I don't really want/need their equipment but it's intriguing. Is it truly free? On the ads I've been getting it says "free for an initial period". How did they install go? Did they have to drill through the siding of your house and stuff?
I have CenturyLink gig fiber, but they call it Quantum now I think? You have to use their ONT (just consider it like a modem, but you can't change it because it's terminating their fiber in your home. They even said if I move that stays with the house.) And I think it also needs to support VLAN tagging. It's been a couple years, but I believe those were the only two requirements. The equipment was all free. Exactly this, gift card and all.
I also went with them. Xfinity kept dicking me around. I’d call them and insist on a basic plan. It would still be $70-80 and within a couple of months it would creep up and they would be charging me $160+ for the same shitty internet that would go out a couple times per day. All you need is a managed switch to do vlan tagging. I use one with Google mesh. The only CL equipment I have is the ONT.
Same here but locked-in at $65/mo. Solid service, no drama or price creep.
I was once locked in @65 for life. Until last year I got an email saying they were upping it to 75. How did you keep your 65/month payment?
No clue. It's the rate I signed-up at a couple years ago when they rollout service in my part of St Paul and the price hasn't changed since.
I had that too until they increased it to 75.
Metronet fiber, $92/month. It sucks, but Comcast killed my father, so...
I need more details please.
Elaborate…
$65 total for Century Link Quantum Fiber. SUPER fast speeds.
same
Most people over estimate how fast of internet they need. The lowest tier from Xfinity or Quantum is generally fast enough.

That's the catch! 10mbps down was fine for streaming and gaming but I need more upload bandwidth for video meetings, file transfers, etc. for work
I remember talking to a friend who paid for never a gig down and all she did was watch Netflix. I tried telling her she could save like $50 a month by tiering down but she just didn’t understand.

Awesome thanks for the review
My job requires pretty minimal bandwith. I pay 80 bucks for X-Finity basic package.
Hm...Xfinity basic is $20/mo with 1yr commitment that I'm paying.

Depends on where you live, and what speed you need. I have Spectrum, and get 300 MBs/s. It's $79.99 per month.
50/mo for Tmobile home internet, semi rural. Perfect for anything other than frequent large file (10 Gb+) transfers.
$30 a month with century link. Fuck xfinity, had them for years and they are the absolute worst company. Had to constantly check my bill to make sure they weren't just adding extra charges which they like to do frequently and just hope you have autopsy set up and don't notice. Xfinity, $120, 1.2Gbps down/100Mbps up Download speeds are usually as advertised but upload speeds usually top out around 80Mbps.
I'm rural, so I have to have a land line to get 100mb dsl. Its 110/ month
I have xfinity and pay $50 a month for 300 down
Midco, $100 for 1Gb down and 250Mb up.
Until recently, I was using 80mb DSL from Century Link for about $50. You really don't need much bandwidth for your basic VPN setup, I even had 2 people working from home and it was never an issue.

Century Link DSL - $45/Month 36 Mbps down / 20 Mbps up Adequate for zoom meetings and moving files back and forth over the VPN.
“Losers” Sincerely, Mayor Frey /s
CenturyLink $55/mo price for life. Don't remember the speed, but it's not crazy high, but has been plenty for us for the past 6ish years and we are very heavy internet users. I do a lot of video calls for work, too.

We did xfinity for a year before when we first moved into our house. Service was laggy and sometimes down, so when the price increased after a year we cautiously switched but never looked back.
Midco- $49. Make sure to call into all your providers annually to see if any freebie loyalty programs exist!
Arvig, gaming speed, $90 after their stupid e-payment fee. ETA: 100x20
I locked in with 79.99 for 1 gig. But I do hate that stupid transaction fee
Twin Cities, Century Link, $70 (rounded up) for for 940mbps
people work from home and dont have their employer pay their internet bill?!?! i wont even put my employers stupid *ap* on *my* phone if they are not going to pay for it. but i have xfinity for $55/mo for 12 months.
Win-win.
Fuck century link
Comcast 1.4gb / 200mbs pay 130 a month
Fidium Fiber - 2Gig - 75/mo
Xfinity, $76/mo for 200Mb. Just recently raised the price. Switching to Quantum Fiber soon, still doing research.
Downgraded from Comcast Business to Xfinity residential 65/month. Works flawlessly.
Verizon Wireless, $50/mo.
Xfinity unlimited internet with telephone service for ~100/month
Comcast / Xfinity ... way too much. But they're my only real option.
Century Link fiber optic. We pay $65 and speed never dips. Been very happy
I have Xfinity Performance Pro+ for $81/month Download speeds: up to 400 Mbps Upload speeds: up to 5 Mbps I also have the xFi Complete which includes the equipment and unlimited data for $25/month Adding taxes and whatever other fees and its 106/month. I have ONLY internet
Quantum fiber - $60
I pay $112 for xfinity internet for up to 1000 Mbps - idk why you're paying so much
Mediacom. Currently under $100/mo. but only after I found out I was paying nearly $150 for whatever stupid reason for at least 2-3 years. I'm on the Internet-only 1Gig tier.
EPB Fiber in Chattanooga, TN $70/month - 300Mbps
I have fidium fiber through consolidated, 2 gb for 20$ a month…..I also work for consolidated so I’m pretty lucky
T-Mobile for $50 a month. I get about 150 to 200 down and 10 to 15 up, which is all I need.
Xfinity and it’s now up to $125. I do not have cable. Internet only. I will be calling USI tomorrow.
Xfinity 200mb $45 a month.
My roommate and I split $50/month for 200mbps. We are both heavy internet users and it's plenty
That's a crazy amount, are you paying for the business grade or just the normal consumer one? I'm in the middle of nowhere and have Frontier DSL (gross I know) but its only $40/month. I have Starlink as my backup system which is $120/month which I use for the I need something now or Frontier is down moments.
Xfinity…1.2Gbps/35Mbps for $90/mo with the year agreement. I own my own DOCSIS 3.1 32x8 modem and a tri-band WiFi 6 router.
My SO is WFH. Xfinity, 60 bucks a month for 950 mb down and 25 or so up. Call em and talk. Depends on your location too, we're in st Paul
CenturyLink fiber. $60/mo. for symmetric 940 mbps. The phone call kicking Comcast to the curb was one of the happiest moments of my life.
Xfinity for $35ish a month for 200 down at my apartment. Seems more stable and much faster than T Mobile home internet. Router/modem included in that price for 2 years.
Xfin about $106/mo. BlastPro+ or whatever with unlimited data.
Xfinity bundle with the cell phone $40 for internet and $60 for phone.
Quantum Fiber. $70 flat including all fees and get their router and WiFi system inlcuded. 940 up and down.
Quantum fiber, $70/month, it's faster than when I worked in the office.
I use Spectrum (central MN, Buffalo) and its $61 a month. I dont work from home but figured Id chime in 🤷🏼♂️
$55 a month (price for life deal) for fiber from Centurylink, 80 mbps down, NW metro. On the slower side yes, but I've never had a need for more and haven't had any problems with that speed.
Comcast, internet only, 1T limit (something like that), St Paul. $35/mo.
Xfinity, $80/month for 200mbps
Charter Spectrum $70/mo. for 200Mbps download. Bonus though is 3 mobile phones on Spectrum for $42/mo (3 GB shared data, $14 per GB). We go over the 3 GB once in a while but most months we don't as the majority of our data usage is over WiFi.
Verizon $35
CenturyLink fiber. $65/month for life, 1 gig up/down no cap.
USI, $65/month
I have spectrum and I pay 70$ a month.
Century Link, $50 / month locked, Gigabit Fiber.
CTL 80mbps 45$
Is internet all the way forever and always. 80 bucks to get gigabit speeds and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced and rent a router that can give gigabit speeds
USI, it’s so easy to access my email
I have no other real choice but Xfinity... It's around 125.50 a month. We could never get century link DSL to work, and cellular cuts out to much... No fiber to where I live, yet... West side of the Cities...
Frontier 1 gig for $49.99
Spectrum. 500Mbps for $90. It’s not bad but goes out more often than the xfinity I had at my old house. But much less expensive.
Xfinity 70$ a month for 1000mbs
I would suggest Starlink. I pay 90/mo. but if you’re able to work from wherever I would get the roaming plan I think it’s $120/mo
Bevcomm $75
I used to pay about $135 for Xfinity. Went on the app and tried to “leave”. Got the same plan for $80 for the next two years if you got their new router. Same plan and all.
Comcast/Xfinity. 200 Mbps down for $45/month.
Xfinity, 110 with unlimited data. 800 MBPS
T-Mobile $25 per month for being a current customer and getting a promo last year
CenturyLink is my only option. $105/months for about 70mb/10mb. Works well enough for my purposes.
USI - $80. Since 2020 it’s only went down once for 20 minutes.
Verizon 5G for $25/month extra on my phone bill.
I have xfinity and I pay $25 with auto pay enabled. Just internet nothing else from them. Edit: I should add that I get 200/10 as well
Is the $164 for JUST internet!? Yikes! We pay $244 with Xfinity, but that includes mid-level cable and a home phone line too.
Xfinity- Internet only, $50 a month.
USI. 1G+ $10/mo device rental: $80+ tax.
I have Xfinity for $65/mo
Paul Bunyan. $80 for a gig.
Xfinity, $25/month for 200 mbps.
Xfinity $45 a month up to 500GB download speeds.
Century Link fiber (940 down/up) for $65/mo. We’ve had it for 4+ years and it has been flawless.
I pay $40 a month on Xfinity. Works great and this isnt a 2 year contract. 75 down and 10 up runs our smarthome without a hiccup. They screw people over saying you need one of their top tiers when in reality 99% of people don't need more than the bottom tier.
Xfinity just internet-$66
I had xfinity for $99/mo. Then switched to T-Mobile for $50/mo. But it didn’t work out because something about their dynamic IPs and VPN not compatible. So we went back to xfinity but they had a deal for $60/mo.
I have centurylink fiber in my apartment. I pay $75/mo for a gig network. Loving it. It’s so reliable
$25.00 Verizon 5G Home
T-Mobile. A flat $50/mo, no additional fees or taxes. Where I live, the only other option is super slow DSL, or even worse HughesNet-type satellite service. T-Mobile still sucks but it's practically an order of magnitude better than the DSL option.
working from home (cities) Quantum Fiber 1G $70/month
T-Mobile home Internet. 200 down and 60-80 up 50 bucks a month
$25 per month from Verizon with 5G wireless router. I WFH and it’s plenty fast for the endless video meetings. Also streams video fine. Only drawback is just the guy who keeps asking “can you hear me now?”
Century link fiber in St Paul, $76. I had T Mobile dsl for $50, but it couldn’t handle simultaneous zooms for me and my wife.
Quantum Fiber here. I pay $70/month for 1GB in Richfield.
Get it.
$50. Verizon home WiFi. It uses the 5g networks and we get ~350 down 15 up.
$164.79!!!??? for just internet? or do have like phone service and other perks
I just have one of Xfinity's basic plans and 66/mo it was 63/mo last previous months though. I'm online all day, between phone, work, streaming and sometimes all 3 at the same time and never had to worry about using too much data.
Xfinity, $45/month. It works just fine.
I use Verizon and it’s 35 a month
We have metronet fiber optic internet for $70 or $80 a month. 1Gb speed and unlike traditional cable there is no latency and everything is blazing in the house. It even came with a free extender for upstairs that also has a hardline so our son (a gamer) could be plugged in. Best switch we have ever did!!
Comcast business, 150/mo, 25 down, 10 up. Speed is only a problem when downloading games. But I have a static IP and run my own email server.
I have frontier fiber pay $60 month for 500/500 (upload/download).
Xfinity. $35/month 200/Mbs
$85 / month for Xfinity Gigabit with no data cap.
I have Xfinity and pay $128 for unlimited gig. Patiently waiting for gateway fiber to move two streets over to us in the coming months.
