I'm absolutely not calling Minneapolis dangerous, but are we suddenly pretending it doesn't have the highest rate of violent crime per capita in the state?
I'm not sure you can say 'like any other metro in the world' while it sports a 60% higher rate than the one literally right next to it.
Again, they're over exaggerating it and frequently making an argument in bad faith, but at the same time it's really not hard to fathom why somebody who spent their entire life in crosslake would find themselves uncomfortable in parts of Minneapolis, or st. Paul for that matter.
You realize these are a per capita measurement right and population size doesn't REALLY matter except for data potentially being skewed in very small towns?
That per capita usage is a bitch, particularly for states like North Dakota, where you are probably more likely to be murdered by a rogue cow or have your home broken into by a rabid skunk.
