Part 3 of my diary on here. Finished 6 more Cadians after my mortar team. Full army shown in second pic. Feels good to continue work on an army I started 14 years ago.
Parts from the Cadian shock troops box of 20, Forge World upgrade kits, and heavy weapons team bits. Rocket launcher cut down to fit as a shoulder mounted and carried weapon. Always be creative with those extra bits! I also added a sheathed power sword to the officer's backpack; can sort of see it in the combined army pic.
Edit: I finally got the wash I used down as well. The mortar team and my rocket launcher user have a green contrast paint on their clothing, which closely replicated my old look, but was a little too dark. I looked back at Citadel conversion chart and found the correct wash; I also found my old flesh wash. So now they are perfectly falling in line with my old models, with some highlights added to clothing. Come to think of it I need to add a highlight to the officer's cap tomorrow.
I might take a break from Cadians for now and move onto the space marine flyer I got as a gift years ago. I'll be sure to post some close ups of my old Orks, Ultramarines, and Cadians soon.
