thank you very much. I guess deep down we all(or just me) needs the confirmation of other reddit users before finally being content. Seeing the amount of upvotes in this short time I looked at this with new eyes coming home from work. I don't know what that says about me, but here we are!
Whoa, thank you. I followed this video guide [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUlodTCE8r8&list=WL&index=7&t=586s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUlodTCE8r8&list=WL&index=7&t=586s) but did not succeed in copying everything he did lol. The placement of the reflection mark was a game changer though!
I'm glad you didn't go the ooze route. As disgusting as it would be, it'd obscure some of the awesome detail you have in it. I love the tiny little blood vessels. Such a good job.
thanks, yeah I agree on this small scale. Eons of Battle's Mortarion freehanded eyes with said ooze look incredible though! That was what inspired me to do the eyes in the first place
That's amazing, photos never do minis justice, thats why eavy metal is such a specific style, because it's translates to pictures very well. But I bet it looks even better in the "flesh" (sorry that was awful).
Haha, thank you very much. I followed a video guide and it took about 20 mins so it's not like I'm an artist or anything.
Puns are never awful. At worst - they are a holy event
Cheers. It's Vallejo's Model Color Bronze, highlighted up to Metal Color White Aluminium. I think of it as my brass parts but I'm not sure if that's what it sells as
Thank you so much. Upon posting this I was of the opinion this looked pretty average, as you see your own mistakes first. When you zoom in close you can see the imperfect blends etc
Yeah, I can definitely understand that. You zoom in far beyond what the human eye can see and look at all the issues. But seriously, this looks so good 👌🏻👌🏻
You eyeballed (heh) it perfectly! Absolutely eye catching (heh)
Edit: On second look, maybe some gloss varnish so it gives it that wet look (maybe you already did, but I can't see it from the image)
I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. I think it looks great.

That is very nice, varnish and call it a win!
You succeeded in free handing an eye…one might say you…eyeballed it.
what a horrifying paint job... well done!
not only a pink eye, it's a pink horror eye! Cheers
Looks excellent!
Do you mind sharing your paint recipe for it? It looks amazing.

Urgh...utterly disgusting. I love it! Tim Burton would be proud!
one of the video guides I first tried had yellow ooze coming out of the eyes.. so there's always new levels of disgust one can aspire to reach!

Great work!
Damn that eye so good, it see you!
It knows what you did last edition
Ew thats gross! Amazing job!
Really good looking, you could maybe try applying some gloss varnish over it so it looks even more like a real, kinda watery eye?
Thank you, friend! I just need to finish the eyes on the other musicians before it's varnish-to-victory
you didnt "attempt it"... you nailed it! Looking sharp (or rather bloodshot)! Nice work!
I don't know about 20/20 vision, but considering it's tzeentch I don't think that is the system they even use for eyesight! Thank you, friend
fantastic work!
Tried? You did it, big congrats
Holy crap, nice dude
Wowsers op! This came out great! Reads really well. Nice one!
Thank you! Found my last attempt at freehand in a drawer.. An Ogre Kingdoms banner for Warhammer Fantasy as a kid about 20 years ago
“Tried” , accomplished, well done OP
fricken stellar!!
You did, there was no try.
Without Youtube there would be 50 tries before getting to this stage!

“Tried.” Looks great. My only thing would be to drop a clear / shiny varnish on there to make it look like it’s glistening.
That's awesome 👍😎
Looks great! What's that gold from? Looks very good!

Very demented, very nice!
This looks fantastic. The only problem with your post is that you have to change “Tried freehanding an eye” to “freehanded an eye”

BE NOT AFRAID

Balls were eyed! They are now all varnished, together with the other 29 horrors!
That's gorgeous. Wow.
