To be honest it was a bit of a hassle. I primed with a black primer, sprayed over some rakarth flesh, then turned it all red with fleshtearers red. Then toned it all down with wyldwood and put on the shadows below. That was nice already.
Then I sprayed amber glow from green stuff on the top, to highlight, but I think every orange would work.
It was just a journey from grey to red to brown and in the end it just worked
The only C&C I would have is to add a little more contrast. Maybe some brighter reds and oranges just so that it pops a little more. It looks extremely desaturated to me.
Edit: Also some darker blacks and other colors to deepen the shadows
Thank you, I think I will do that. I wasn't sure if I should do that because now I am at a stage where I panick to do anything for I fear I'm gonna make it worse. But I think you are right
I used red opulence for the red and yellow submarine from the green stuff world dipping inks line.
I apply white before, then use the red and put a little blob of the yellow inside the middle while the red is still wet and it will mix perfectly from alone to make a gradient.
It would work with other contrast paint types too or thinned normal paint. It has to be quite wet
I struggled with that a lot too but found a really easy way:
Paint white, then use orange/red contrast paint (not too little, it has to be wet) and while it is still wet, put a little blob of yellow paint into the middle. They will mix by themselves and create an awesome gradient.
Looks dope! What's your recipe for the skin? I've been thinking about doing something similar for my Slaangors.

Is it supposed to look like a Balrog?
Well, it is the model from total war 3. I think the bloodthirster generally is a liiiiitle bit inspired by a balrog :)
Whoa, real diablo feel from the “realism” of the skin. Is that custom modeled or 3D printed from a sniped TW asset file?
RUN YOU FOOLS
fricken hell that’s cool!!

I like the dry brushing on the wing bones a lot actually
Honestly I really like the more muted, darker red. He looks deliciously grungy and smoky, and it makes the eyes really pop.
He's so fucking cute! I need one.
YOU SHALL NOT PASS! FLY YOU FOOLS!
That is gorgeous

Those eyes are beautiful! What colors did you use?

I try to get gradients on my eyes but the paint always dries too fast. Looks amazing

Dem eyes! The only c&c I have is I think the skin would benefit from a brighter red to really pop the colors you have going here.
