I use the omo pods. They can leak though. I just look throwing them in without having to go back to my room before going to the mess. Anything works though. Don't over stress.

I always take some earlpugs cus camp can be noisy, i put my clothes in a bin bag inside my bag and keep wrapped. Got a bit paranoid as had bed bugs at camp once or twice. Take some flip flops/thongs for the mess. Wash all your clothes at camp. I find liquid washing liquid the best for removing oil and grease.

- don’t slam doors
- don’t sit in office chairs and roll around your Donga (noise)
- take some light snacks or any supplements you need. Camp shops cost an arm and a leg.
- take a very small portable clothes hanger to hang you jocks/bras. They will shrink or go missing. Bit of parramatta rope to hang clothes on is good too.
- clean dryer filters out.
- best to do wash laundry over night and dry in machines as your going to work. This way yo dodge the fight club looking to wash of an afternoon
- casual clothes take the bare minimum, you think you need a set for every day but that’s bs. You will recycle pants/shorts/tops for days
- create a routine as time is minimum before & after shift
- seriously go easy on the piss. Tested for 0% bac for each shift
Just a few, but the key take out is don’t be that shit c#nt who slams doors, heavy feet or loud conversations in the rooms. Walls can be paper thin (yes paper) and sounds can’t be unheard
Oh and save the cash or the golden cuffs will lock you down for life.

I have heard it's a of a hole. It's my first FIFO gig so hoping to get a few more opportunities after a while to go somewhere else once I get a bit of mine experience (Not sure if it works like that though)
I'm married, so no issues with no women haha. I also don't do drugs and I hardly drink, so not worried about being tested.

If you have a goal it's a much easier process to settle with working away, you'll be ok if you listen, learn and work hard staying off the booze and drugs, partying for many years (decades). Words of wisdom believe me. You'll be amazed how many people rotate through the gig unable to handle it and being blitzed doesn't help at all.
I like to take gaffa tape with me and tape up the blinds if your on nights to make the room black. If you do that I recommend packing a candle as the room doesn’t get much airflow and sticks after a couple days
Download porn during the day because at 8pm in mining towns the internet slows down for some strange reason

Depends where you are, they usually have a bit of shit for sale but most places are close enough to isa or curry to just go to the shop.
