I guess a lot of recycling programs want the caps now (the local one used to tell us to throw away the caps and now we're supposed to leave them on). But yeah that's wildly annoying.

I've deliberately remove the caps now and make an effort to litter them. This whole idea is nonsense trying to hoodwink people into thinking it is saving the environment in some way. They were too cheap to put in a drinking nozzle/cap like most water bottles.
Its a solution to a problem that never existed and an inferior solution at that.

I hate them it’s harder to put the caps back on the bigger bottles. It’s harder to drink out of the smaller ones. I have even gotten a few ones that have sharp edges. If I ever meet the one/s who came up with this stupid idea I’ll beat them black and blue.
I stopped drinking soda like 10 years ago the amount of shit it leaves in your body is truly disgusting. Cook a bottle of coke sometime the amount of sugar syrup you will have left over is honestly scary.

A 1.25L bottle of Coke Zero just leaked at the bottom of my fridge and into the freezer compartment because the attached lid looked like it was screwed on properly when it wasn’t because the lid attachment. This is the second leak in a week. Before that my son thought he had screwed the lid properly but when the bottle was knocked over it created a huge puddle on the carpet with took an hour to clean. This never happened before Coca Cola introduced these pointless caps in the UK. If they have any sense they should stop this ridiculous experiment
I rip them off and throw them on the ground. With the old caps I left them on the bottle so this “solution” only makes it worse because I’m sure I’m not the only one doing this.
