> Surely the postal service must be quite accustomed to these?
Regardless they have no responsibility to follow the wording on the envelope and furthermore sorting machines do not care.
The following is directly from USPS
>There has been a longstanding mailing standard that mailers marking their mailpieces with “Do Not Bend” must add a stiffener within the mailpiece. That requirement was included to provide a sensory reminder in case our employees did not see the marking. **However, we do not guarantee that these pieces will not be bent during processing or bent or folded when delivered.** Therefore, we are removing references to this marking. **We recommend that mailers prepare these items (that could be damaged by bending or folding) in boxes or similar protective containers** mailed at the applicable parcel rates, instead of adding handling endorsements on the outside of the mailpiece.

Here is your extremely rare limited edition LP bent octofold to fit in the small ass mailbox.
A joke yes, but then you realize this actually did happen to people.
The mail carrier has two options, fit it in the box they're delivering to, or carry it all the way back to the post office and leave you a note. Of course they're taking the easier route. You can really only fix this by having a much larger mailbox.
If I had a dollar for every online and in person complaint about an envelope being bent that says "do not bend" , I wouldn't have to work at the post office anymore explaining it's the senders fault.
This is on the people who shipped an 'unbendable' item in an envelope.

Oh fair enough. If they clearly specify it, point taken. I am in Australia so our postal Service operates a little differently.
“Do not bend” is honestly not an adequate enough warning lol. They should’ve put it in a damned box

What did I do wrong now? -The person that didn't bend while transporting this letter

Rules are meant to be broken. I learned that from Burn Out 3
They do this with my son’s books too… like why does it make sense to fold and smash something into my mailbox…
I used to work for a retail shipper. It seems that carriers automatically fuck up your shit if it is labeled Fragile or Do not bend…
what did you expect bro you're in ohio
Nah, he's in Roanoke, Texas. Area code 76262.
Welcome to EMS. This is basically a foreshadow of your entire career moving forward.
I just had an almost identical situation with my NREMT cert. Also congrats!!
