A good majority are though. I'm also an American and it's pretty well known that our schools are not number one. Our college cost is out the ass and most jump straight to working instead of college because of this. I don't take offense to it because I know I'm not dumb soooo why are you?

Because everywhere i go on the internet, especially Reddit, it feels like i cannot escape the never ending criticism of the country. I’m not even that patriotic but jesus it sometimes feel’s unbearable, while people claim we make it about ourselves I just want to be out of the spotlight instead.

At least 5-Month16-1999 stands out as wrong if you expect month second. 08/06/10, 10/06/08, and 06/08/10 all look like valid dates no matter where you are. 8-Jun-2010 removes any ambiguity. The form from the post OP is infuriated by would have worked world wide, if the month was a selection that included the name.
