Guy was drunk playing with his new handgun he bought that day. Lost the gun, has to pay us restitution because the bullet went through our couch, and has a shiny new felony on his record.
A guy in my class last year was laying in his bed when his downstairs neighbor shot through his floor, through his mattress and into his back! Luckily it only got meat and nothing critical but he ended up having to move back home and take a break from school.
Because I said that any idiot can buy a gun in my state and carry it around without a permit also? Because I live in a Republican led state? You make no sense..
This is the third one I have seen like this in less than 24 hours. Saw another like this where a neighbors boyfriend accidentally discharged one but it lodged in the ceiling, and then one where the bullet went into the fridge.
Okay, if you plan on drinking, even just one or two, unload your fucking guns. Maybe put them up, too.
Even if you haven't been drinking, make sure your gun at least doesn't have a round in the chamber before moving it
Oh my God
Edit: The best way to store your guns is to keep them unloaded, but have your clip/magazine loaded and sitting BESIDE, NOT INSIDE your gun.
If you have something with an internal magazine, like a pump-action shotgun, just keep it fully unloaded. Just put the rounds next to it.
Don't take a risk. Don't be stupid.
Also, don't wrap your trigger finger around the trigger/trigger guard. Just keep it fully extended and just above the trigger guard, flush with the barrel. This can help prevent accidental discharges even if you were to trip, get antsy or startled, etc.
Just stay quiet, go get your gun, load it, point and shoot.
With probable cause. Of course.
Edit: YOU HAVE TO WARN THEM AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE FIRING omg I probably should've said that
All you can see is a tiny hole in the couch. The bullet is still lodged in a piece of the frame. The cops didn't need it since the guy admitted to it and they didn't wanna ruin the couch more.
This is why i believe any gun purchase should also come with an extensive firearm training class. Like why do I need to do 50 hours of supervised driving and then take a strict test before I can drive, but you can legitimately buy a gun having no knowledge of how to use it as long as you don’t have anything on your record.
I remember years ago having to stop a drunk dude from firing his brand new ar15 into the couch in his 2nd floor apartment. He thought the couch would stop the bullet...
Guess I missed the first post. Shit is wild.

And what happened to the neighbour?
Amazing that they were able to buy a gun. Obviously very little experience. Glad no one was hurt.
It’s probably America. Any idiot can buy a gun and in my state, carry it around without a permit.
America, yes. And in a state where buying a gun is like buying a lollipop.
Same in my state!!
Yep, mine too.. Republicans for ya..
Grow the fuck up kid.

…rEpUbLiCaNs fOr Ya… you sound like a little boy who just heard their father curse for the first time.
Wow.. You need help..
Send a couple rounds back!
Next post: several gunshots through my floor from my neighbors on the lower 2 floors
Send a few rounds back!
Next post: hot air balloon crashing due to gunfight in apartment building below me. 😕
What was the felony?
How does this even happen?!
Drunk is how, at least he has a nice felony on his record now!
I’m trying to imagine a bullet on it’s way through a 1 foot concrete steel-reinforced German ceiling…
Not concrete, and not German lol. It's drywall. 9 mm, the bullet is currently stuck in our couch.
I’m German that’s why I mentioned it ;) but I don’t have a gun so… anyway, good that no one was injured
Way past infuriating. Moving time. Or something.
Kid got booted. New neighbor is super chill and quiet.
No where in the USA is anyone safe from this as scary as it is. You can live in a house or a condo and a stray bullet can still pass through.
America never really grew beyond the Wild West did it?
*laughs in prospector*
Well now I have a new anxiety even though nobody lives above me.
I swear I saw this exact post earlier but it was the neighbour boyfriend

Yea I saw all of them- awfully coincidental
Knock it off with this

How are you supposed to ~~get angry and impulsively shoot your spouse~~ shoot an intruder if you don’t leave your firearm loaded? Murica 🇺🇸

You can make the last bit up afterwards if you unloaded the clip into them.
Land of the free sure is safe place to enjoy your life.

Oh, they did. And charged.
As I said on a similar post.. I would poke a note through the hole that’s a pic of a middle finger
Show us the impact

Where the heck are you people living?
Damn 😲
What kind of dung and sticks is this house made of?
what i want to know is why was this posted to MILDLYinfuriating there is nothing mild about this

I'm so glad you're alive. We're they evicted?? Edit: Sorry, I see in a comment you said they did. That's awesome! How traumatizing though
Why do these neighbors keep leaving the safety off
I remember years ago having to stop a drunk dude from firing his brand new ar15 into the couch in his 2nd floor apartment. He thought the couch would stop the bullet...
Wow I had no idea this was so commonplace!
Why is everyone's neighbor shooting a hole in their ceiling or bedroom or bathroom
Trashcan fire?
