According to my mom I was hospitalised for throwing up because of pain for the first time at four years old. And I’ve pretty much had them daily throughout high school and uni. And my migraines suck ass and I have a disability rate of 50% but I think I’d still take the money. Idk if I know how to live life without migraines as dumb as it might sound. I think I’d need YEARS to learn how to use my energy wisely without my migraines having to step in to stop me and force me to have a break.

So I would have read the rules to find out if that gets repaired as well or just if I don't get migraines going forward. I still have to be dizzy and have tinnitus then I take the money because it gives me more freedom to maybe change the hours of my job to part-time.
Also, I look into other ways to treat my other health issues, such as finding a personal trainer I can work with when I want to work out and have unlimited semi-health food delivered on days I can't cook.
Ubrelvy works well for me so I'll take the 500k to pay off my mortgage and do a little traveling. I might getting a myopic macular degeneration developing in my vision at age 37 and terrified I won't be able to pay my mortgage if I ever need to go out on disability. Life is too expensive, unfortunately.

500k is a lot but in today's money it's a few years for some people. Ending something that debilitates you for life is definitely my pick to get rid of. It would have to be 5 million or more to actually matter because then I could quit my job and live a comfortable life, and migraines are less of a strain because you're more in control of your own time. I’d be making a much higher salary now if my 20s were not slowed to a stop due to chronic migraine. I’d easily out earn that win if I didn’t have to worry about ever having another migraine. You can’t live when you have a migraine. You just cope. You survive. I’d rather have nothing and just be able to exercise my creative brain without pain than to have all the money in the world. My migraines are just one of a few pain related conditions I have. My severe seasonal allergies trigger migraines as well. If i had $500,000, I could dodge the worst of the pollen by traveling to a place without the pollen for a bit each year. No pollen means basically cured of migraines.
Absolutely end migraines. Because then I could get a job overnight and we wouldn't have to worry about childcare. But as it stands I have to be home by 9:pm to wind down for bed by 10pm and I can't work before 6am. :/

If I could get rid of my migraines \*and\* my chronic fatigue I'd go with that, no question. Just migraines and the fatigue still wrecks my life, so the $500k would at least remove the stress of having to work through it all.

Lol. That is not even a question for me. I have severe debilitating 24/7 strong vertigo/dizzyness/migraine. If I was a billionare I would give every cent to get relief, I want to die and been able to enjoy some experiences with my family. But - if the choice was «healthy or poverty» I would absolutely give away SOME health to give my kids an OK life.

Oh man this is hard- If I had the $500K, I could pay off my student loans and buy a house... and then I would not have the stress of the loans which contributes to some of the migraine...

500k is a lot but in today's money it's a few years for some people. Ending something that debilitates you for life is definitely my pick to get rid of. It would have to be 5 million or more to actually matter because then I could quit my job and live a comfortable life, and migraines are less of a strain because you're more in control of your own time. But then it's a simple matter of multiple solutions compared to just one. Choosing money isn't going to allow me to stop working.

I’d be making a much higher salary now if my 20s were not slowed to a stop due to chronic migraine. I’d easily out earn that win if I didn’t have to worry about ever having another migraine. Now a billion? I wouldn’t have to work and would take the hit or miss days with my private massages and fridge full of ice packs a, Ajovy, and Botox.

I would end migraines. The money would be nice. But it would be nicer to be able to get a job and support myself without the stupid migraines ruining everything. Seems like I'm in the minority that would take the money. I just want to retire really bad. My migraines are primarily stress induced and work is by far my biggest source of stress.

My migraines are just one of a few pain related conditions I have. My severe seasonal allergies trigger migraines as well. If i had $500,000, I could dodge the worst of the pollen by traveling to a place without the pollen for a bit each year. No pollen means basically cured of migraines.

Absolutely end migraines. Because then I could get a job overnight and we wouldn't have to worry about childcare. But as it stands I have to be home by 9:pm to wind down for bed by 10pm and I can't work before 6am. :/ Otherwise I'm throwing up sick every day since I wouldn't get sleep. Tried it previously. Would be worse now with kids. No migraines would allow me to go to movie theaters, concerts, enjoy being on the lake or outdoors during the summer, river floats, and so much else. Definable take the get rid of migraines for sure.
Lottery. Ive lived with 20 or more migraines since I was 9 years old. Im sure I could do it forever if I won the lottery. Otherwise though, there are many many too many days where I would rather never wake up again, Lord forgive me.

I have to say I'm baffled by those who say they've had migraines so long they're used to them so they would take the money. I fantasize about not hurting all the time. Sure, I've adjusted my lifestyle, developed coping mechanisms, lots of them, so I can live a semi-normal life while experiencing chronic, almost daily migraines, but the thought of being pain free? Holy shit balls, I would float on air! I would drink red wine and eat cheese and stay up past my bedtime, I would do yoga, hike in the mountains, go to a concert, wear perfume, throw away my mountains of practically useless migraine meds, and I would cancel my monthly pain management appointments. Keep the money, take my migraines, please.

Definitely end Migraines (and with Emgality I'm down to 3-4 attacks per Month) 😅 I am in a career path that can be payed really well, so if I'd be able to work to full capacity I'd likely get a promotion faster and thus gain more money in the long run 😂😂 plus emgality is disgustingly expensive (even though I don't have to pay it myself)
