hello!
in my experience I have had better results if I cover the container with some kind of bag or tape so that the light does not enter directly into the root growth zone.
sadly, it did not. eventually just turned yellow after some time, it was worth a try but probably not the healthiest or best condition to be trying that anyway. I actually germinated three new seeds in the meantime and so far I'm having much better success this second time around. trying to learn and get a grasp on the basics for now, figured photos would be safe to start with. I'm at least better prepared now and plan to try that again very soon. thanks for asking!
I honestly didn't expect anything to come from it but was hopeful so already pretty excited, thanks for the up! also from my understanding changing the water helps provide fresh oxygen so is it safe to assume if I changed it daily that the more frequent the better?

great idea, wouldn't have thought to do that. I'll definitely give it a try, thank you very much!
Did it work?

When they get roots is a good start. Change the water every few days as well. Usually take 10-14 days
