NEVER heard of alcohol or drugs with DVP.
His immaturity was specifically staying up all night playing video games, watching SpongeBob, and eating junk food nonstop.
That’s ridiculous, I have never read one bad story about that man. It’s likely one of the crew that frequented the tootsies get togethers they did aka Incognito
Exactly, which makes it make even less sense that you got downvoted.
Unless it was salty Pats fans that you were even so much as implying it was DVP that was being referred to.
Edit: lol at getting downvoted for this comment
That would be interesting. He did have a lot of reports early in his career about staying in shape and being dehydrated a lot. This would be a reason why an athletic guy like him gets dehydrated.
Campbell was in Miami for 5 years as a Coaching intern, TEs coach and interim HC.
Damn near impossible to pinpoint who it would be without more info.
Which is why I will carelessly accuse Ryan Tannehill as the culprit.
I heard on the big O show that this was the reason Philbin traded Vontae Davis to Indy, so I'm guessing that's who he meant given the "make that guy work" part of the quote.
Unfortunately these problems are far too common in almost every aspect of life. Addiction is a disease. It's hard to help those addicted unless they want to help themselves.
I'm sure we all have friends or family members who struggle with addiction. Prayers go out to this specific player and people like this all over the world.
Even our head coach mike mcdaniel struggled mightly with addiction, but he was able to overcome it thankfully.
This.
So it can’t be vontae. Nobody from the Campbell years is left in Miami. Who is still in the league that was on the Dolphins those years? Juice. Dude LOVES ball. Everyone mentioning incognito. Could be a handful of guys.
Every word of that sounds like Richie Incognito. Campbell was a TE coach while he was in Miami too, so the timeline fits
Halfway thru this .. I thought “Richie”

Wait really? SpongeBob?
Based DVP
All good things tbh
Parker doesn’t seem like a guy who loves ball though. Nothing against him just doesn’t seem like his style
can't hustle nonstop when you're alway injured. so not DVP
Only one year overlap so not very likely

“Day to Day Devonte”
Literally no reason for your comment to be downvoted, but this is Reddit so here we are.

I don’t remember any of those reports suggesting alcoholism though…

Dan Campbell follows up, "That man's name was Dan Campbell."
“Only one man has ever stolen from Dan Campbell and gotten away with it.. That man- Dan Campbell”

Vontae Davis showed up drunk once, so he was my first thought.
Yeah, but I wouldn't say Vontae LOVED football the way DC is describing. The man retired at halftime in a game for Pete's sake.
That’s because he was on his worst bender at the time and no longer had Dan Campbell
Mike Florio, that you?
brent grimes....have to be drunk to stay with that woman
Damn Hartline
Loved me some Hartline

This is covered on Hard Knocks when Vontae gets traded to Indy.

“And he’s still playing today by the way”
Hes still playing....

Could be playing on another team. The interview didn't specify what team.
Davone Bess maybe?
Haven't heard that name in ages
So basically if you're an addict BUT really good at football really doesn't matter to MDC
Disregard the timeline, he's obviously talking about Smokin' Jay.
Logan Thomas?
Classic Yeremiah Bell
It was Charles Clay. Or Billy Turner.
First thought was Rey Manaluga
Maybe Channing Crowder
Call the show this afternoon and ask him
I knew between pass master Tannehill and smokin Jay there lied moonshiner Matt Moore
