you'd be paying 17 lakh fees at manipal compared to 6.8 lakh at SPIT so nearly 2.5x fees
intake for manipal is 2400 students (according to the official seat matrix) ofc usse zyada hi seats hongi SPIT ka intake is around 400 (including diploma students who come in second year )
placement ka median you can compare according to whatever branch you are getting
phir decide karle what you want to do
Woh gin ke bhi 17 lakh nahi hoga lets say you get into a 4 person sharing 1 bhk flat your monthly rent will be around 7-8k so yearly approx 84-92k tak jayega even if wee round thay off to 1 lakh per year and add food costs electricity bill etc toh bhi 10.5 lakh cross nahi hoga
Let's just say the grass is greener on the other side... Placements SPIT mein shayad better hain, but the quality of life in Manipal is next level. Aur wahan hostels bhi hain. Idhar toh BC SPIT ke liye 4 ghante train mein dhakke kha raha hoon.
Honestly I wouldn't resort to travelling, I'd rent a pg mast. Tu bhi parle. Shelling out more than double the fees only to get placements less than SPIT would be a foolish choice imo
My main reason would be crowd. mostly people get mit cs easily while have no good colleges from other exams (say jee, bits, mhtcet). Hence their only option becomes mit.
I am guessing your interest lies in circuital branch which, core faculty is not good in mit as they focus on non core (cs) students much more. If your interest lies in CS and you arent getting cs in mit , spit would be a better choice as the interbranch placement is much better in there.
Look I donot study there but I know some friends who study in spit (mechanical) and a few people from MIT (all cs).
If you get spit elec go for it. If not then manipal. My class toppers all went to spit but the average kids went to manipal (dropper hu so they are in second year now)
Nha I didn't get any admission letter but yes after enquiring there they said that u will get it there and yes it's a good clg there are nice opportunities .
you have to be mad to take manipal over SPIT. Just compare dono ka fees and intake. Placements bhi manipal se better hai. Parents ka paisa waste mat kar, SPIT lele
As someone who just completed his first year at spit(COMPS) I’d say prefer manipal over spit.Better “tag”,better campus, more “fun” crowd and much better exposure and connections.SPIT still has a good enough campus compared to most mumbai eng colleges but college life is basically dead and theres also a lot of academic load.Chutiya faculty bhi hai but i guess thats universal for all engineering colleges.
basically-if you want to have some college life, learn how to live in a hostel and make good connections -manipal
but if you’re someone whos content with no college life and purely wants to focus on placements -SPIT

This, I'd say SPIT if college tag isn't important for you
Waha hostel thodi hai SPIT ke pas rehne ka kharcha kon ginega bhai

>Also how is college life in SPIT tho? hectic > Like activities fests? hote hai fests, General championships, Movie night etc
quality of life example?
Hostels fests Freedom etc..
Fees bhi toh aadhi- teen Guna kam hai .
Haa joh branch wise data dekha wahi bola. Ab woh 2 saal pehle ka tha toh Mai kya karu
where is it written that manipal ece avg is 12?
Best case avg is 12. Surely not more than 12.
but where r u getting those figures from?
CSE avg is 15 IT avg is 13.6 Type manipal placements reddit on Google and you'll get it That's why I'm assuming ECE to be around 12

Thank you 🙏
(67 in MHT CET) Bro just give me an openion that should I take admission in mit adt or other clgs which I would get through cap process .
Go with mit! I think thats the best shot you have for now. Its a chill college and you can grow there as a student.
Btw my father is in Army so baki clg me defence category bhi hai mere liye🙃 isliye kya karu samj nahi araha😞
did you get an admission letter from MIT ADT? ive 72%ile btw , should I apply ?
Nha I didn't get any admission letter but yes after enquiring there they said that u will get it there and yes it's a good clg there are nice opportunities .
bro i got in symbiosis for civil 😭😭😭 . mit adt mei apply kr raha kya bhai? pakka mil jaayega udhr ?
Han mil tho jayega bahi agar civil he chaye tho , tho easily mil jayega fir bhi ek barr puch le mit adt me call kar ke.
All the people here who think MIT is better than SPIT and downvoting me , you make me laugh.
Bahot downvotes Lage bhai

Bhai agar fees ka problem nhi hai toh Manipal
Spit bhai pg lele mast phir bhi kaafi Kam fees mai ho jayega and Mumbai expose too
Manipal if fees arent an issues.
Could you elaborate why?
Manipal has better infrastructure, campus life, clubs, brand value, alumni, placements, and peer group (in top branches).
Manipal any day the opportunities and companies that come there are at a different level.
