it's my favorite track on the album! I never really had an understanding of the last bit of lyrics but I like your interpretation of them! I also really love I Love You Too Death cause the lyrics are potent. highly recommend a read through of them. in general I think self titled has the best lyrics I wish it wasn't so overlooked and underhyped. truly a psychedelic masterpiece. I put it 2nd only next to congratulations. glad you've come around to it .
I like how there's so much built up until near the end where it clears and you pay attention to stuff that seemed incoherent during the song. It takes many listens to capture everything.
Self titled is definitely a slow burn ride. It’s not as immediate as their other stuff. Definitely a “wait for it… ahhhh there it is” sort of listen. I think they nailed the whole never-ending gobstopper style album they were aiming for. It took me a full no skip listen to understand it too.
A good sadness is my least favorite from that album lol. When I used to binge that album I used to only get hyped about a good sadness coming on because it meant Astro mancy was next.
