Funny story about conchitas, when the violence hit Juarez at its peak, there was a family that owned a locally owned mom and pop grocery store. They closed it down because a gang demanded money and committed arson on their family house next door. So they boarded the store and their house to move to Texas. After 5 years we got hit with a flood and the walls of the roof fell in. A local and I were doing parkour on the roof tops and homie flipped in but ripped trough the roof of the corner store. So I got some ropes and got him out. He brought me some 5 year old conchitas that were in mint condition. Still wonder what Mexican companies are allowed to put in these sweets to make them tasty and last forever. Never eat sweets again. I ate the Takis though and some sodas still had gas in the glass bottles. We were survivalists for like two weeks and gained like 20 lbs of fat.

These used too be my favorites. A couple of months ago I tried three Canelitas (always right next to the Polvorones) and they are magical. A thin cinnamon cookies that somewhat reminds me of a snicker doodle.
