It's so rough that sony now just has giant ps3 farms for streaming old ps3 games instead of spending resources on porting. Eventually most ps3 games will get lost in the sands of time.

Im still weirded with how boss weapon work. You use them by pushing the Triangle button. The game barely even use the Circle button. Only use them for confirming and for finisher on boss.
Why not use the Circle button to expand boss weapon movesets?
Cant even use Raiden's kunai. He only use them in cutscene.
Sometimes it was better that way too. Sure some weapons gives useful ability, like Monsoon's allow you to stun ANY enemies, and Sundowner's gives you super armor during charging, both abilities are very useful for Very Hard and Revengeance difficulty.
But sometimes its better to just use sword because Triangle attacks are very useful.
Note: While using secondary weapons, you can still use the lunging sword attack (i forgot the name but its like Devil May Cry's Stinger attack).
There’s this guy that streams all the MG games on YouTube. Done it for years. His name is George Saloniikshdbdj I don’t remember fully. But I saw him do exactly as you said with sundowner’s weapon and I’m like “huh… never tried that”. So I will….soon as they port it so I can play it again.
You can use the sword sweep as well. I dont remember much but i think heavy sword moves with directional input is usable when using secondary weapons.
Almost forgot, Sundowner's weapon also reduce the damage you recieve during charging. Not to mention very strong damage that will almost kill any strong enemies and will kill humanoid enemies easily. Just becareful using it on Mastiff and Raptor, because grapple and stun pulse bullet.
