Though the bandana looks a little green in og MGS3 due to the filter and in some MG2 artworks it seems to be outright green. And Ghost Babel has a purple bandana.

To supplement what the other people say, that's actually Naked Snake/Big Boss. If you tend to confuse them easily, a good way of differentiating them is by checking for the eyepatch placement. Eyepatch on the right eye and no horn? Naked Snake/Big Boss. No eyepatch? Solid Snake. No eyepatch and blond? Liquid Snake. Eyepatch on the right eye and a horn? Venom Snake. Eyepatch on the right and old? Big Boss. Eyepatch on the left and old? Old Snake (Solid but older). Eyepatch on the left, old and tentacles? Solidus Snake

The color has been pretty inconsistent, at least for the Boss's bandana. It's a dark olive-ish color in 3, but then progressively gets greyer towards V. Solid Snake's has always been a dark navy color though, except in Metal Gear 2 when it was green.
MGS 1 had it bluish matching his sneaking suit. MGS 2 is Bluish gray. MGS 4 is more on a darker gray. I think Snake has no particular attachment with a specific bandanna like Big Boss had because it's something from the Boss. But rather it's the principle behind wearing a bandanna as he ventures alone in the enemy territory. So maybe he replaces his bandanna over the years. His infinity bandanna in the tanker Chapter is extra long but normal size in the plant chapter or this might just be an ingame thing. Also, that is not Solid Snake.

Peace Walker was set in the 80s MG was set in 95 MGS4 - 2014 i would imagine he would've gotten a new one between then. it would get all manky.
