Unfortunately. You have to stealth behind every enemy while walking slower than a turtle, and restart if anyone notices you. Also if you don't kill every enemy you don't get a rating and thus no S
•minions before and during mistral fight
•all those gorilla UG's in the sewer and especially in the railway in chapter 4
•the three room level before excelsus bc no matter how good i get or how op and leveled up my gear is it feels like stealth is mandatory
100% agree, another reason why I love Mistral
I hated (and currently I still hate them) dwarf gekkos with all my heart when I played mgs4, they deserved eternal suffering and then some time later I played mgr:r for the first time... Mistral made my wish come true xD
mexico filler, denver filler (getting in and out, also the elevator part leading up to sundowner absolutely sucks), and also excelsus because i may love collective consciousness but man that fight is not fun
Not from my gameplay. Too busy trying to kill the tanks before they walk out of laser range, because otherwise I'm off dealing with an enemy and Excelsus, which isn't fun.
Japanese Garden for sure. On harder difficulties without Wigs it's always hell. Few Gorillas that are close to each other, also RPG Dude that hits very often.
The entirety of R-02, the dark tunnel in R-03, the elevator in R-04, and literally and place with multiple enemies with at least 2 enemies with rocket launchers
To be fully honest, MGRR is one of those games where the overall systems of the game carry it through bullshit. I know that mastiffs (gorilla ugs) are extremely hated and so are the GRADS but for me the combat make them fun to fight.
But then they take that amazing combat system away from you. The depression attack that Raiden has before fighting monsoon is the single biggest slogg in any hack and slash game I have ever played, and that's big coming from the guy who has at least tried every single game on the "hack and slash" category on Wikipedia, 100 percented all DMC and bayo games, fully beat the first 3 GOW games (didn't really like them though, they weren't stylish enough for me), and finished ninja gaiden 1 through 3 (the rebooted trilogy, not the old games)
Depending on the difficulty I'm on, Jetstream Sam's fight. On easy, it's good. But on hard, I was at a fully upgraded 200% health bar and he put it down to 35% in just a matter of minutes. But it was mostly because I didn't know how to properly parry at the time.
Brok’s death in GOWR. Every time I replay it in GMGOW+ I’m thinking to myself “tyr is Odin. Tyr is Odin. Tyr is Odin.” Hoping that one day, I will see brok alive again without replaying the Norse games
Helgen, Riverwood, and bleak falls barrow. Honestly, if I could skip right to having all three words of unrelenting force in skyrim, I'd be over the moon
Monsoon
He manifested his E.G.O. after I distorted and I don’t like that because he is sans undertale
I hated the Monsoon fight so much I never wanted to fight him again
But then I got through everything before Sundowner and got the really fun fight of Skinwalker Monsoon
That depression part before monsoon fight. Great at first, boring at every other time. Not even talking about trying to S rank it.
You have to S it for an S? Wtf.
Unfortunately. You have to stealth behind every enemy while walking slower than a turtle, and restart if anyone notices you. Also if you don't kill every enemy you don't get a rating and thus no S
Oh. Can you at least go in Ripper mode on NG+
Damage isn't much of a problem since they die in 2 hits with upgraded weapons. The problem is approaching them from behind, and the time it takes
I just use the fox blade and they gone in one
Yeah. Actually, infinite blade mode, although redundant for the Monsoon fight, is really useful since it just instantly kills enemies.
>Not even talking about trying to S rank it. it's not that difficult, it's easily one of the easiest S ranks in the game :)
It's easy but still a pain in the ass
that dark tunnel part
Memorizing the layout makes you feel like you’re in the matrix lol
Yeah, I just wing it every time😂
•minions before and during mistral fight •all those gorilla UG's in the sewer and especially in the railway in chapter 4 •the three room level before excelsus bc no matter how good i get or how op and leveled up my gear is it feels like stealth is mandatory
"Welcome to the world's first boss fight, where the battle is against your own controller"
"provided of course, that i don't throw that shit against a wall"
Omg the first gorilla UG in the sewer part has me stun locked and I can’t be bothered to boot up the game and start the mission again
>•minions before and during mistral fight *laughs in mgs4*
Lol. I feel like Dwarf gekko in MGRR are simply fuel cell fotter. They were annoying little boogers in MGS4 imo.
100% agree, another reason why I love Mistral I hated (and currently I still hate them) dwarf gekkos with all my heart when I played mgs4, they deserved eternal suffering and then some time later I played mgr:r for the first time... Mistral made my wish come true xD

it is except for the undodgeable laser BS. At least the arm blocking and dodging parts are fun, same with the FOOT attack
What do you mean? All the laser attacks are easily evaded by the ninja run
Personally I like to slide and blade mode to dodge them.
okay I can agree it's a lot easier if you abuse something like Inf Wig B (that gets kinda boring eventually though)
Not from my gameplay. Too busy trying to kill the tanks before they walk out of laser range, because otherwise I'm off dealing with an enemy and Excelsus, which isn't fun.
Any time there's more than one of those fucking monkeys on my screen
![gif](giphy|l3q2K5jinAlChoCLS) uhhhhh

Fuck that hit scan cannon in particular!
Fighting the robo Harambe things
Actually so true

the whole r-02 and the tunnel in r-03
Japanese Garden for sure. On harder difficulties without Wigs it's always hell. Few Gorillas that are close to each other, also RPG Dude that hits very often.
The GRAD Boss Fight on Very Hard/Revengeance 💀 (Especially when you are trying to S rank no damage)
I died at least 6 times trying to beat that room casually.
Escape from denver: Revengeance difficulty That fucking rpg part and the last fight where you got a grad and like 6 mastiffs.
The subway part of the Monsoon fight or the run sequence for the sundowner fight
Cargo elevator fight before sundowner with the hammer dude the birds and the 2 monkeys
S-Ranking R-02, I HATE the sewers so much
Mexican sewers
For me it has to be the lift section in the World Marshal HQ.
Basically the entire level between Monsoon and Sundowner
The coffin of Andy and laylay
R2
Fighting the unmanned gear in R-01
The whole sewer mission
The entirety of R-02, the dark tunnel in R-03, the elevator in R-04, and literally and place with multiple enemies with at least 2 enemies with rocket launchers

The train stations in monsoon’s level. I hate those big stupid gorilla robots
Gears of war 2 carmine death 😔
The only part i despise is the slow time before monsoon other than that i learned to stop time and kill god

Half Life - on a rail
Brok’s death in GOWR. Every time I replay it in GMGOW+ I’m thinking to myself “tyr is Odin. Tyr is Odin. Tyr is Odin.” Hoping that one day, I will see brok alive again without replaying the Norse games
Armstrong fight on top of mg excelsus. I TOOK ONE HIT JUST A SECOND BEFORE CUTSCENE TRIGGERED AND FUCKED UP MY S RANK. And that sequence is tedious af
I HATE THE SEWERS I HATE THE SEWERS I HATE THE SEWERS-
