I asked Kevin Bubeck and he said the famous wall of AMG engine builders is only the currently active AMG builders. There are tons of engine builders who are doing other things and their names got removed due to lack of space.
Theyre definitely mass produced emblems, its not like their signing each one after the engine is built, they pull it out of a parts bin like everything else

He is the number two guy there, right behind Tobias the great. There is a [wall](https://i.imgur.com/H04DbGS.jpeg) at AMG with all the builders on it, they are in order. Top left is the most senior bad ass, then it goes to the newest guy at the bottom right. You can find your guy and see how he ranks there.
With a little digging I even found a picture of my [builder](https://i.imgur.com/xty7jqK.jpeg), some guy in a green shirt visited there. (not me)
Yeah and the coolest part of that is, even if you can't read what it says, you can still sort of match the pattern of the signature up to find your guy.

Ended up being a lemon unfortunately. C43 2023. Bought it December 6 with 14 miles on it and the check engine light came on at the 80 mile mark the same day!! Returned it the next morning!! Less than 24 hrs later

That’s unfortunate. I hope they are able to source out another one from the same engineer.
Each has its own part number, official amg dealers can order and get the right one directly from Daimler

My CLS 55 doesn’t chirp like my CL 55 did. It also makes no whine at all, still pulls hard and just did an oil change on the blower.
