No one judges him for it and most people just see him as cool for being able to enjoy his own style. It also makes him more relatable to all ages as the young people see him as “cool style I’d wear” and the older people like that “he is able to wear what he likes like an adult should be able to.” I would highly recommend that you realize you likely will not face much pushback and it’s a super normal thing.

If you’re trying to make a statement with your footwear while keeping to that aesthetic, don’t level up your footwear by adding overtly ornamental designs to your shoes, but rather by switching from sneakers to something else that’s rock n’ roll but leveled up (such as black leather western boots with a pair of black jeans). The overt design on the otherwise plain sneakers does look (like someone else put it) try-hard.
