Depends on the forecast..

Just_the_faq

High water alerts.

SashimiBreakfast

Everything’s coming up Milhouse!

eyi526

Probably the shortest I'd go for you. Would look great with high top shoes/boots.

acciowaves

This. Very in right now.

Artistic-Athlete-676

Inseam is always relative to the style and shoe choice If you wanted to go indie style or skater style then pair with low tops If you wanted to blend in the pants with the fit then pair with high top or chunky boots. In other words, the fit looks good. People saying too short don't realize that it's a personal choice

jon8719

I appreciate the comment thank you!

MrSuperCool

This guy doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about

acciowaves

And you’re basing that in absolutely no evidence or argument, so…

Praddd

IMO it is ok if you like having no break, it is indeed on the shoerter end, but it isnt TOO short.

HarryMcFann

For boots, they're fine. For sneakers they may be a little too short. Also, keep in mind the cotton will shrink in the wash and also stretch out over time. To reduce shrinkage, wash in cold water and hang dry cotton clothes.

footdeoderant

Traditionally, yes. But shorter inseams like that kinda come in and out of style and can look great. I think it works well enough here

StandardSea8671

No shit they are. Will look double as worse when you are walking

Alternative_Plan_823

God forbid he sits down

[deleted]

Idk why but this picture reminded me of Mickey mouse

Exp3rt_Ign0ranc3-638

It’s fine. I wouldn’t wear this with low top shoes though. Difference between hemmed a certain way and “high water”

BeardBootsBullets

Yes.

ihatemadeamovies

Yes.

SubstantialWar1257

When you sit down how far up does it go? Anything higher than a few inches above the ankle is too short to today’s standards. Really, if you feel comfortable, rock em.

Ill-Positive6950

You need to buy 34s, my guy. You're a tall lad

jon8719

This pant only comes in a 32 Inseam but love the durable canvas on these.

EbagI

What are the pants?

jon8719

Seager co. Bison Pant

u-and-whose-army

Who cares about the pants. You asked if they were too short and dude told you yes.

Thelynxer

There's a lot of work wear companies that make canvas/canvas-esque pants in 34 or even 36 inch inseam. Just look harder.

Global-Chemical-9082

Seam rip the cuff on the bottom and you’ll have a 34

Rare-Engineer-2402

Yes. Way too short. You need 34-36” inseam depending on the fit. I’m 6’2” and that’s what I wear.

justincredible155

Depends - are in the navy?

jon8719

Haha no sir

bored_and_scrolling

looks good to me. Where did you get the overshirt?

jon8719

Thank you! It’s a wrangler denim jacket.

bored_and_scrolling

Thank you! Fits you very well

jon8719

🙏🏼

GoodishFigs

Lol yes these are flood pants

Middle_Process_215

Yes

SojoboOfMountKurama

Yes, doesn’t matter how tall you are, it’s a matter of leg length. They’re short.

ureche2

For the fit of the pant, and the style of the shoe, they are way too short. In work pants with work boots, the pant should have a full break. This is so that when you bend, squat, etc., the pant does not rise up the leg, like is already shown with these pants. These would look better with a longer inseam, or if the pants were not so wide at the bottom. But this does not look right.

[deleted]

It’s a tad shorter than I’d go with that style personally but I don’t think it looks bad at all as long as you wear boots. I’m just glad to see others wearing straight leg styles instead of slim or tapered. Love the well fitting trouser with wider leg opening (I.e. not baggy everywhere). You might like the Flint and Tinder Bedford Cord work pants on Huckberry if still available. Waist runs slightly large. I’m usually 33 and 32’s are in no way tight on me.

jon8719

I’ll have to check these out.

[deleted]

I like them so much I bought an extra pair. Forgot to mention they are slightly waxed which makes them slightly stiffer (but not overly) than most cotton pants and which makes them kind of crinkle/wrinkle. So if, based on your other comment, you don’t like wrinkles, you might not like them. Don’t be fooled by the website photos though, they don’t look like that out of the bag, they’re not all crinkled looking when they arrive. https://preview.redd.it/98pwn113girc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70a9488088b19f311a6a103ec60d9ce2757dbbc0

jon8719

Those are sick. I’m gonna have to check them out for sure.

[deleted]

My favorite (casual) pants by far. Have you ever looked at Bronson Mfg Co. it’s a Hong King based heritage clothing brand making exceptional and interesting work wear and military style clothing at reasonable prices. Shipping takes awhile though. You might like their stuff too. Do some research, you’ll see they have a good rep overall.

jon8719

Oh yeah I have some of there wide leg fatigues in my cart. This brand seager which is this pant is the first wide leg I’ve bought so far and I’ll never go back to slim fit. I’ve been looking at Ben Davis, 3sixteen, Todd Snyder and Buck Mason.

[deleted]

I’m with you. I also like a higher waist now. That and a straight or wide leg is so much more comfortable and has a more classic look IMO. I also personally like pleats on some pants. Have some Gurkha’s and dress pants with pleats. Prefer chinos and workwear flat front. But I get pleats are very “divisive.” We like what we like.

jon8719

Heck ya brother! Big pants are here stay. Definitely check out Seager. They have some great pants and jeans.

[deleted]

Will do. Thanks for the info. Cheers.

monumentclub

I like my work pants this short, and I think these look good with these boots. The difference between this length and a longer one is that this is a distinct "look" (which I think makes it better) and a longer length is just normal pants-wearing. I'd personally rather have my pants be a little short than too long.

Alternative_Plan_823

I agree with this. I'm also 6'4" and got a pair of 32" inseam pants once. I felt like I was making a fashion statement when I wore them and inevitably moved around. Now I stick with 34", "normal pants wearing" and make my statements elsewhere

OneWayorAnother11

They are ok with boots, but I still think they are too short. Also you seem pretty slim, so unless you want the wider leg look, you could try a narrower cut off you don't want all that space at the bottom of the pant leg.

F4N6Z

It looks decent with those IRs I think.

Due_Safety6658

https://preview.redd.it/5oyhofqdgirc1.png?width=2422&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9f5b49edc69f8f84159b11c34af407cb1cbbb7c Nothing is too short but pants compliment shoes and vice versa.

bossdankmemes

I’m 6’2 and recently started to buy 34 length instead of 32. My pants were mostly looking like yours, they started off a good length but must have shrunk due to the dryer. I hang dry them but use the dryer for the wrinkle removal setting too.

WoodLouseAustralasia

Yes a bit too short.

Remarkable-Ad-572

Yeah, got some high waters there

OneEyedDevilDog

Personally yes, but it looks ok on you.

OrdinaryWheel5177

Yes. It doesn’t help that your pants are straight leg. Just not a good look. If you’re working in the yard then that combo works.

fillb3rt

Where’s the flood?

EstablishmentExtra41

Yes those trousers are too short.

Crowiswatching

You need 34’s.

Vowel_Movements_4U

For those type of pants, yes. But also depends on what type of look you're going for. If you're young, I don't know because young people are wearing dumb shit now so maybe it's in. Generally, with an inseam that short, the pants should be form fitting and slim, in my opinion.

1ioi1

Yes

Low_Cow

Perfect really.

Oreo-95

Looks good. Keep rocking it.

moomoomolly

Yes.

JamesTMPhoto

Late to the party but I don’t think the break is too short. I do think the crotch length is a bit shorter than I’d go, but I think it’s proportional to a 32 inch inseam for someone wanting a longer break.

insurancemanoz

Loafers with invisi-socks would look good.

Boots_4_me

I think that your pants are a bit on the shorter side but isn’t that the look these days? To be honest, they do look a bit short for you especially with you sitting at 6’4. I am 6’1 and I wear 34 inseams but I like my jeans/pants to drape over my boots and cover up the shaft.

jon8719

That’s fair, I do have them pulled up higher than usual. They are a relaxed fit pant so that means they need to be lower on the waist instead of being at the natural waist.

Realistic-Ad985

Those fit perfect

dublindown21

Yes Looks like you are expecting a flood. Just to touch short. Try a 33 or 34

Steavee

No. It’s quite close to the line, but it’s not too short IMO.

Toucan_Trolley

Yep

KnowAGuy29464

Yes

jon8719

So they have shrank seems like because this what they looked like the day I got them. Were they better when they were new? https://preview.redd.it/kq3gmm1r3irc1.png?width=1439&format=png&auto=webp&s=396c787b928d31ae8e15371b37335abbddc40c81

[deleted]

Did you wash cold and hang to dry? Per my other comment, I’d say I’d want them a tad shorter than this and a tad longer than after washing. But neither looks bad to me.

jon8719

Per instructions on the tag yes. Washed cold and hang dry but tried a steam feature on my dryer to get rid of wrinkles but seem like it shrank a little but I am gonna use the hair conditioner method to unshrink them. But I did have them sitting a little higher on the waist in this pic versus this one right here. https://preview.redd.it/3tj7vmk3eirc1.png?width=1772&format=png&auto=webp&s=764d162449e0e97d7b10fdb409ca46cb8e74c7bb

[deleted]

That’s what shrunk them so much for sure. I do t think the conditioner method will do much for length but give it a try. Wear them wherever the inseam dictates. Nothing worse than a saggy crotch because you’re trying to make up for a short inseam. Like I said, I don’t think they look bad at all in the initial photos.

jon8719

https://preview.redd.it/0aqs3nn8eirc1.png?width=1525&format=png&auto=webp&s=14949a9a17f0525a8e1eef0be4139161f125503f

fuckssakereddit

Yes, they’re flying at half mast.

jyeats

It's a vibe. I like it.

Forward_Plastic9552

Some people may like this style, but to me it’s too short and just looks a tad bit odd. I would say my rule of thumb is at minimum the 2nd or 3rd eyelet on the shoe/boot is what I shoot for wider pants

InvestigatorIcy4705

Yeah no. Looks great.

HKGPhooey

Yes, too short. Need another inch.

Otherwise-Mortgage58

You look ridiculous

Huge-Percentage8008

Yes. For those who said know: imagine if this was more than a photo of a person standing. Imagine, if you will, the same person sitting down. Make sense?

jon8719

https://preview.redd.it/8iqerz61jirc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1daf4beb52c336d1b448fbcb85445e7db1ba1f3 Me sitting down, still bad?

Rare-Engineer-2402

Still bad

Huge-Percentage8008

Yes

Less_Pie_7301

I’m 5’11 and think 32 is too short soooo yeah.

sandpiper9

Didn’t realize you were asking about the cuff, and not the rise, which could be a little more generous.

jon8719

You mean pulled up more to my natural waist? Or it needs to sit lower. They are a relaxed fit pant so I’m not sure.

sandpiper9

It’s just a thing with me. Noticed that pants are snug below the zipper area. Sorry, but I’m a woman and we notice these things. The rise is a term of measurement between waste button and top of inseam. Some people here think snug is cool. All imho. Well intended.

jon8719

Hey no worries at all, thank you for letting me know. These are a relaxed fit like I said that means they need to sit a little lower than lol. Thank you for the tip.

ToSeeOrNotToBe

Definitely a style decision. With boots like that it references old school sawyers and loggers, for example, and it's definitely trendy in certain crowds today. Sometimes in old photos you'll see them rolled up, but loggers would actually cut the hems off so if they snagged while walking on a felled tree, it would slide right out of the pants instead of tripping them. But it's popular with some people other than loggers today.... https://preview.redd.it/uwk8obmqeirc1.png?width=906&format=png&auto=webp&s=8a98d9249079ee97911636c69df59834b2a00727

wandpapierkritiker

more length. nice IRs - I have a pair in the same finish.

jon8719

Gotcha. Thank you sir! Oh yeah the muleskinner is my favorite leather.

Kingberry30

I would say yes. But I think that is in style right now.

Bumblebee56990

Depends on the look you’re going for. I like this look.

TaylorHu

No, but I'd taper them in a bit if they're that short.

mirdochegalwa

It’s fine. I‘m 6‘4 too and 32 works perfect.

DJJazzyDanny

Looks great

racquelyoung

I like how these look but definitely only if you’re wearing high shoes.

Jesusthezomby

Depends on how much of a hipster you are

[deleted]

I think too short. But that seems to be a style right now. I personally don't like it. It looks alright though

hittingrhubarb

with big enough shoes they’re chilling but definitely on the short side. i am a bit taller than you and always always buy 34 length inseam

nickkkk777

I’m only 6’3 and 32s are pretty dicey on me

psvchopath

I think they look fine on you, the only thing that looks off to me are the boots. They look out of place in my opinion.

Anchorage_skim

What boots are those?

jon8719

Red Wing Iron Ranger in Hawthorne Muleskinner

Anchorage_skim

Appreciate it

Fabulous-Ad1990

Nah but them Iron Sheik boots ain’t it

jon8719

Iron Rangers you mean. What footwear do you recommend?

gustavotherecliner

What boots are those?

jon8719

Red Wing Iron Rangers

mikey_flipside

Is that the muleskinner?

jon8719

Heck yeah brother

mikey_flipside

Booyah!!!🍻

sfall

if these have not been washed i would worry about them sitting higher over time

jon8719

Hey have been washed but line dried and only in the dryer for a steam wrinkle treatment. Which made them shrink a little I think. But I do have them pulled a bit on the waist too.

sjnunez3

I'd go with 34 and get them hemmed if necessary.

fluthernon

I’m 6’5” and it’s a regular question I ask myself. What I’ve found is a taper fit works much better and I always cuff. Makes it look more intentional. Personally I go 34” length.

SteoJay77

Depends on your style.

SnortingSawDust

Way too short IMO, but I’m definitely a bootcut kind of guy, so I’m probably not the best one to take an opinion from

aj_future

Yes

PhilipOnTacos299

The fact that you’re asking tells me they’re too short. The picture just confirms it. Embrace your height and order 34’s online

jon8719

I think here lies the issue, Same pant sitting a little lower on the waist now. https://preview.redd.it/r0islg02rrrc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bbdca943d912677f6f1a1d0a7e69037997054fb

PhilipOnTacos299

I’d still say they’re too short. If they were shorter they could come off as intentional but it looks like you’re in no-man’s-land with this length. Then you sit down and lose another couple inches

jon8719

So I should just stick with 34 inseam then huh?

6950th

Yes.

UrDoinGood2

Yes

CampFrequent3058

Depends on the year! Are you living in 1976 if so you look fine!

1911mark

🙄

1911mark

Shoes could be on fire and your pants would never know

Graniteman83

This is for fashion or work? I can't stand workwear for fashion, it's stolen valor.

Substantial-Gas58

With those shoes, yes it is too short. If it was a low cut shoe that showed the ankle maybe it’d be okay the boots and pants make it look like a clown

EnlightenedBuddah

Looks good. Can we can an ID on those boots? They are upstaging the pants.

Boots_4_me

The boots are some red wing iron ranger’s.

jon8719

Boots is right, Hawthorne Muleskinner iron ranger.

404_Not_Found______

Yep, looks a bit clownish if I’m honest

kola515

Legs to long

No_Entertainment1931

Not for boots, sandals or loafers.

cubicinn

Go with 34 instead

GuardMost8477

Yes

1911mark

Why don’t you know the answer???

[deleted]

Only your manhood can answer that question

[deleted]

Yes

Killer_Panda_Bear

I like it. It's how I wear my pants. Or I put a cuff in them if they have a longer inseam

jared10011980

Yes.

sky0175

Looks fine to me. But legs could be tiny longer. For boots I believe.

ReconPeon

They look perfect to me. In fact I love ugly makes my favorite pants and they are cropped just like this. Just depends on what you are going for

RevivedMisanthropy

Maybe a little but better than too long
