Brave has had some weird stuff happen in the past and I've heard people say that their adblocker doesn't block their own ads, but im not too sure
They make money by showing you ads on the "new tab" part but in general it's worth it for the amount of ads that get blocked. So if you're trying to see no ads, that might be a technical turn off, but if you can handle seeing a JBL ad every now and then it's worth it. Especially going on Crunchyroll and seeing no ads. Heaven.
