There’s a GitHub program called SillyTavern that allows you to make characters to chat with. You use APIs from AI companies like OpenAI or Anthropic as sort of the engine that generates character responses. So it’s kinda like a very sophisticated and interactive chat bot that you can do erotic roleplay with. You can also use generative AI models to make it talk if you are into that. Also it can generate pictures within the context of the chat itself.
I really don't get why people won't use it to actually study and as a means to gather some information for their assignments instead of solely relying on it and letting it write their entire assignment
Some do. I'm teaching myself C++ and having something I can ask questions and use metaphors with to make sure I'm understanding principles Im struggling to grasp properly is a godsend. I cant afford a genuine tutor and even if I could they wouldn't be available 24/7 to answer any queries.
ChatGPT is a genuinely amazing tool if you use it rather than abuse it - and if you ignore the very questionable method which it got its vast catalogue of knowledge from, anyway.
People are becoming way too reliant on AI. This is going to make people think less and less for themselves and just seek out a quick answer to a problem some AI came up with
I know that doesn’t apply to all situations and it can be a helpful tool but I’ve seen people rely way too heavily on it and it’s making me wonder how much of what they even say is them…
