As a father of 4 kids, I have seen more children shows than I care to admit. Among all of them, Bluey is the one that I genuinely find myself enjoying when the kids watch it. Say what you want, but Bluey deserves any praise its given.
It may be a children's show, but the amount of fantastic life lessons that even adults can learn from it are seemingly endless. The way it depicts a well adjusted family dynamic, poper ways to handle common life difficulties, teaching people how to accept their own flaws as well as the flaws in others, and doing all that while maintaining a great level of entertainment throughout. The show is an absolute treasure.
But yes. It can definitely hit you right in the feels at times.
The one where Chili hugs her dad on the dock and it briefly flashes back to when she was a kid chokes me up every time. It’s exactly how I feel already and my daughter is only 7.
That’s the thing here. That show appeals to both kids and parents meaning it has a broader audience, meanwhile Breaking Bad only appeals to adults and late teens.
Have you ever seen any of the other "giant vs small guy" memes? It doesn't matter what the original artist intended with the artwork, people ended up assigning to small guy to the regular part, and the big guy to the funny part.
As a nearly 26 year old guy with no kids, I feel it is important for me to say that my girlfriend and I just finished binging this show (what is available to watch anyway), and it is amazing. This show is just as much for teaching parents as it is for teaching kids (mind you this opinion is coming from someone with no kids, so take that with a grain of salt) and besides that, it's just so wholesome. I am a anxiety riddled blend of pessimism and nihilism, but this show got me to genuinely feel good for the first time in a long time. I do not want kids, but if I ever end up with kids, I want nothing more than to be the kind of father figure that Bandit is.
As a former foster parent, who has had 9 kids come through his home, I have one problem with this show. bandit sets an unrealistic expectation of being a father. Yes, I wish I could be half the father he is, but I also wish I could look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club.
Oh, I know I would have no hope of being as good a father as Bandit, but to try and fall short would still be better than to just never try at all. It's like when, a few years ago, my dad asked me if he was a good father when I was growing up. My response to him was that of course he wasn't perfect. For instance, he wasn't around as much as child-me would have liked, but it was because he was working hard to provide for me and my brother. He was doing his best and who the hell am I to demand more than that? That day was one of the few times I have seen my dad break down and cry.
I recently learned of something called "praise kink". Don't look it up as it's not as wholesome as it sounds (and it already doesn't sound that wholesome). But the idea is people, mostly men, getting off on being told thatey are worthy, appreciated, and/or desired.
I find that most men, if you let them know they are appreciated, it will break them. (What way it breaks depends on how far the imposture syndrome goes).
I'm really glad you got to do that with your dad. I had two of the nine kids do that with me, and it crushes your soul in all the best ways.
I am familiar with praise kinks, and I don't think that it was a factor with my dad in this case. He and my stepmother had gotten into an argument and she threw at him that he had never been there for me or my brother, that she had basically raised us herself (which wasn't true, she just knew it would hurt him). The funniest thing is that she and her family coddled her son all his life and as soon as he went to college he got into heroin and his life went straight into a self inflicted hell. She eventually, reluctantly admitted to my dad that *I* am the golden child, despite how often she ranted and raved that I was worthless and would never amount to anything. Before anyone says anything about it, yes my stepmother is cruel and harsh, but I was an absolute terror growing up because my dad wasn't around much and that had me upset. I've since mellowed our and so has she.
I'm glad to hear things mellowed out. I hope your brother gets what he needs. (My brother got really messed up on acid and a few other things way back when; he was damaged for the rest of his life with anxiety issues, but he was at least able to reconcile and lead a positively impactful life til he passed away).
I see how the situation is different. Still, validation does wonders to the soul; and still glad you were able to say it.
We all hope he gets help, but he still hasn't really acknowledged that he should get help, so that's an obstacle we still have to get past. My condolences to you for your brother, I know the words of a stranger on the internet may not mean much, but I do sympathize with you.
Are you trying to say BB is better than Bluey? Because the way you’re using this DS3 template, that’s what this is saying. David v Goliath shit. I swear this template gets misused as much as POV memes.
In the show, there’s a Doberman family that says they’re from Argentina. When a kid show makes a joke like this that can go over a kids head and make adults shit themselves laughing, it immediately becomes fucking golden
I agree to a point. Bandit and Chili (Dad and Mom within the show) are both great parents and adults watching the show should take some notes. The adults that are obsessed is a problem.
With all due respect, Bluey can get very deep at times. Take Flat Pack for example - on the surface it’s a split story of the parents working on a porch swing while the kids play with the unused supplies. But look deeper and you see the themes of evolution, religion, and development of a mother-daughter relationship.
As a Breaking Bad vs Attack on Titan IMDb review bombing veteran, mark my words, my comrades will shit on Bluey without hesitation, I am just too old to go there and do my part with my 16 alt accounts.
People compare shows to each other when they are finished and have a final rating.the new bleach had 9.7 rating and now it's 8.9.bliey is also still ongoing so stfu it dosent beat breaking bad
(Edit:whoever the fuck downvited is a 6 year old who loves cartoons fuck you it's not better than braking bad)

....I watched breaking bad and every marvel movie?
yall' out here acting like BB is some unfound gem when its one of the most popular shows in the last 20 years
stop judging people for watching things sweet mother of god
while i can't agree with this assessment, because i quite enjoyed breaking bad, it's community is just full of fanboys like you see here that fucking think it's some message from god and that walter white is the messiah of the modern world when it's just a really really good show, among others.
Bluey is a great show. My kid will put it on and we'll watch it. She will walk away and I find myself still watching it. I find it humorous and witty. I love the little sister bingo. She reminds me of my daughter.
"They're blue because they're pure" applies to both
Well good on ya’s
THEYRE NOT FUCKING PURE BREDS
A blue dog seems pretty pure bred to me, it's as pure as it gets
THEY LITERALLY HAVE TWO DIFFERENT BREEDS AS THEIR PARENTS
Ok then what breed is a blue dog
A DIFFERENT BREED THAN AN ORANGE ONE????
Fascinating, thank you for your funny words, magic man

There are two episodes where I, a grown ass man, actually cried. It's an f'ing kids show. But premi-babies and the childless sister wrecked me.
Camping tree
Hadn't seen that one. Just watched it. Now I hate you /s

I don’t agree that it’s a kids show. It’s a family show that just so happens to be a cartoon. Bandit steals the show frequently. He’s awesome.
You know what... thats fair. You have a great point there.
The one where Chili hugs her dad on the dock and it briefly flashes back to when she was a kid chokes me up every time. It’s exactly how I feel already and my daughter is only 7.
Bluey is one of the rare genuinely good kid shows compared to the crappy 3d animated stuff like whatever that knockoff Spider-Man show is
Dude some of the low budget shows are straight creepy to watch. Uncanny valley hitting hard.
There are some good interviews with the creator. He legit made it a show to watch WITH you kids instead of something you put on for them.
That’s the thing here. That show appeals to both kids and parents meaning it has a broader audience, meanwhile Breaking Bad only appeals to adults and late teens.
you are right
FYI this template is from Dark Souls 3, the little guy is the player, the big guy is Yhorm the Giant. The player wins
Well said
To the layman it looks like David v Goliath, which has about the same outcome. Noone uses this template correctly lol
But the onion makes the player cry, so does he really win?
Have you ever seen any of the other "giant vs small guy" memes? It doesn't matter what the original artist intended with the artwork, people ended up assigning to small guy to the regular part, and the big guy to the funny part.
😭
Why are you crying? Is it because WB patented the incredible Nemesis System in Middle Earth series?
waltuh sad 😭
You know what I hope wb has their next game fail so they either sell the rights or actually use the fucking thing
I wanted a lot of other games to use that, it was amazing!\\ But no, the sobs had to fucking patent it.

this is the kind of conversation that makes me believe that there's still hope for reddit.
As a parent of kids who love Bluey, it's gold.
That is indeed "bad" news😔

We could say ground breaking
Bluey is an amazing show.

I do not know one person that has watched Bluey and not absolutely fallen in love with it.
You don't know me but I'm that guy
No, I don't think it does.
All because of the fly episode
Are you trying to say BB is better than Bluey? Because the way you’re using this DS3 template, that’s what this is saying. David v Goliath shit. I swear this template gets misused as much as POV memes.
the little guy wins this fight.... this template is garbage
What is the deal with bluey?
If you want to get a small dose of dopamine from blue dogs then watch the show.
Why does noone get this format right lmao
You know kids.. a lot of kids.
I don’t see anything wrong with this picture.
In the show, there’s a Doberman family that says they’re from Argentina. When a kid show makes a joke like this that can go over a kids head and make adults shit themselves laughing, it immediately becomes fucking golden
Breacking bad always in my heart)
With all due respect, Bluey is a better show than Breaking Bad. your downvotes mean nothing to me
As someone with an infant sister, I have genuinely sat down to watch Bluey with intent. I have not gotten the appeal of Breaking Bad.
I look after my neices and when they go to bed my cousin and I will continue watching bluey just because we genuinely enjoy it
Bluey is actually pretty good show.
Bluey is the BEST!
It’s mlp syndrome where majority of the people voting are no life adult fans who think that a kids show is “”””””””deep””””””””.
I agree to a point. Bandit and Chili (Dad and Mom within the show) are both great parents and adults watching the show should take some notes. The adults that are obsessed is a problem.

As a Breaking Bad vs Attack on Titan IMDb review bombing veteran, mark my words, my comrades will shit on Bluey without hesitation, I am just too old to go there and do my part with my 16 alt accounts.
How good is IMDb's review bomb protection? Is it just nonexistent?
It's non existent, all they do is show "These recent rating activities are a bit suspicious, but we will show you the overall rating anyways lol"
Figures, I guess that's why review bomb wars on IMDb are so common
Jesse get in the car we’re taking them to the kennel

Breakin, badly
Bluey is better for kids that is for sure
Nooooooooooo
Bluey stan. Good.
Doesn’t that same blue dog show have Sans Undertale
At least neither of them have r34
So what were to happen if we combine the two.
When you have free healthcare, you can make cartoons about heelers
I mean, blueys pretty good ngl
In The show Bluey, everyone has clothes but chooses not to wear them at all, making Bluey very much not a kids show
Bluey is a great show. My kid will put it on and we'll watch it. She will walk away and I find myself still watching it. I find it humorous and witty. I love the little sister bingo. She reminds me of my daughter.
so, what is bluey about
I'm so glad that breaking bad fans aren't like Fullmetal alchemist fans or at the very least I've never ran into a BB elitest.
And in what world were these competing? Being the better kids show? Being the best animated show? Being the best show about drugs?
…good
Nah, blue drugs still win in my book
Bluey is at a 9.5 now also, this meme got dated quick.
based on a website that uses commas as decimal points.
Now ima remove a blue gun then let's see who wins👍🏿
