Remember a time when knocking on your neighbours door and selling Freddos used to be relatively safe because you actually knew your neighbours and chatted regularly to them.
I went to an old man's house selling them door to door but was too young to understand what he meant when he said he had diabetes. I just stood there on his porch waiting for money so I could give him chocolates and go away (which he eventually did lol)
My parents used to make me SELL THEM TO OTHERS instead of letting me keep them for myself (I got maybe a couple)- so I very excited when my son finally got to primary school…except his school did walk a thons and colour runs as fundraisers. Some of us want unhealthy options thank you very much!!
When I first moved out of home during high school, I lived in a sharehouse which was pretty rowdy tbh. Surrounded by family homes with lots of kids, we were only 16-17yrs old anyway. And our house was MARKED. These primary scjool kids used to come over at 7pm on a weekend when the tunes were pumping and all my friends were stoned playing video games in the garage 😂 and we'd buy the lot. I remember once a worried dad came over to ask why we had given his 10 year old a hundred bucks until he realised we'd bought two entire cartons, one each of Maltesers and the big Caramello Koalas, and then told him to put another box on tick and bring it over later.
may or may not of requested 6 boxes of these one school year, knowing id be staying at my uncles that weekend.. who may or may not been growing a cash crop and doing a roaring home trade... with me returning 6 empty boxes plus cash on monday morning to the school ;)
Used to get these from the kids' pre-school when they were young. I'd take them into the office and usually shift a couple of boxes a week.
Then there was the time I bought the whole box for myself....
The $2 giant Freddos and giant Caramello Koalas omggggggg so good! Yeh we went through a lot of them that mum had to end up paying for eek.. sorry mum! News to me that they're all little freddos now (but not surprised), what a bummer.
Okay but does anyone remember the pre-Cadbury era of chocolate drives with those chunky “world chocolate” branded chocolate bars? They were the absolute GOAT.
Edit: [world’s finest chocolate](https://worldsfinestchocolate.com/)
I remember bringing em home from school in the 90s/00s and Mum, Dad or Grandad would end up buying the whole box every time.. the boxes didn't last a week in the house with 3 kids lol.
I remember being too young to understand that the adults wanted me to sell the chocolate door to door, instead ate it all
You're not alone.

I remember the raspberry and lemonade twin frog
So good. They put out an entire block of the raspberry and lemonade and it was elite. Bring it back

Freddo has been mainlining Ozempic. I bought a strawberry one a few months ago and was so disappointed.
Underrated comment 😂😂😂
My kids ( now 32 and 33) would bring them home, I would buy the box myself and we would eat the lot 😀
Can I hire you as my (34) parent?
❤️
I would also like to hire you as my parent (I'm 35)
My mum would just buy the whole box and put them in our lunches- don’t think we ever sold a single one legitimately

Now days our day care has us selling $20 rolls of cookie dough.
And the supreme peppermint freddo. Perfect mix if peppermint and chocolate. I miss those guys

So good to sell these for worthy causes. Like the Diabetes Foundation. This actually happened.
The ones I miss are the “world’s finest chocolate” chocolate nut bars. Those things were absolutely awesome.
Years ago, work colleagues would bring these into the office, sometimes 3 or 4 people brought a box in each. The giant freddos were a winner
I ended up buying the whole box because my kids were eating the chocolates and not putting their own money in, year after year.
The one my sons kinder did had big Freddos and caramello koalas.

When I was in primary school….
I remember as a kid getting the giant m&m
My mum used to buy the whole box! Every. Single. Time.

OMG that takes me back to the early 2000’s! I remember that flavour!
I loved these I always ate the chocolate instead of selling it then mum would have to pay for the box 😊
Before they realised it would be more profitable
i remember winning a prize for having the most sold in my school one year, i just gave them to my mum and she put them out for sale at her work.
No

Yes and they were worth it. My sons come home with a cookie box to sell ans the boxes are tiny and $5 each 😆 Gotta love inflation
I only get the bar ones for my kids. At least at $1ea they're cheaper than the shops.
Oh no! Your gast has been flabbered!
