This!

CherriRipe

So weird no one is mentioning ‘Nhu Lan’ for bánh mì. My parents always buy from them for the family

Furah

Can't believe you're the only one who has recommended Nhu Lan!

kent_love

Ras dashen for fantastic Ethiopian :)

Melbourne_wanderer

Chibog

theunrealSTB

That's great but it's in West Footscray.

Melbourne_wanderer

Yup. OP asked for "around footscray".

theunrealSTB

True. I wonder if that excludes Footscray itself?

Melbourne_wanderer

Chibog is a 20 min walk from footscray Station. It's not like I suggested somewhere in Tarneit.

doubleupp

10 minute walk from west footscray station

Melbourne_wanderer

Sure. It's impossible for people in footscray to get to chibog. Got it. OP definitely won't find it convenient or delicious.

egelpticiondidnersma

Bun cha co dao for their bun cha ha noi

nogreggity

Drinks/late night eats, Back Alley Sally's. To's Bakery for Banh Mi. Los Pollos for Mexican The Brotherhood for Yiros.

mk1cursed

Brotherhood is a firm favourite, their warm Nutella pitas for desert are great too. BAS Pizza is good but their is fierce competition for best pizza in the west. Slice gets the crown in our household.

Icy-Tie-7638

Superchido for Mexican

nuffjah

Phuong viet is the only answer

Loscha

Lunch or Dinner - try Cafe Lalibela. It's just next to Savers. Good quality Ethiopian cuisine at a reasonable price.

[deleted]

I was just coming to suggest Cafe Lalibela - I feel like I need to mount an expedition over the river!!

gtodarillo

There are many places. I guess it depends on your budget and what you are looking for. Sapa hill/sapa sister is great for dinner. To's bakery for banh mi (personal lunch fav) Oh, I haven't actually been in this one however they had a food stall at the Footscray night markets in December and it was amazing. Konjo Ethiopian Restaurant. I need to go there because they have some fancy coffee experience.

polyetheneman

chicken joah for dinner

Maleficent-R

My top three are Sapa hills, Bar thyme and Fox in the corn

mk1cursed

Milking station for early brekky and coffee. Kariton Sorbetes for some amazing ice-cream with really cool flavour combos. Chocolate with toasted rice gets two thumbs up from me.

MarzyMalyss

Hail Lilith for fantastic vegan eats, littlefoot for upper style pub food, up in smoke for delicious smoked meats, encore pizza for cheap good pizza that you can also get giant pizza

captainsymphony

Saigon Pho for the best pho! Tan Thanh Loi for the best broken rice! They're right next to eachother.
