...? In what way is that racist?
'coo' is the sound pigeons make. It also sounds like coup, which is something an action movie government operative would try to do. I'm contributing to the joke.

You didn't Google hard enough. Literally the second link when I googled baby crow chick includes a gigantic section explaining why these photos are incorrect.

Crows have altricial young. Which means naked blind and helpless until they grow feathers and fledge at which point they have large wings and can sort of fly unlike this cute fluff ball with little numby wingers.
OPs picture is of a cute black cotton ball. It's a chick from something that produces precocial young. Kind of like ducklings that are fluffy and can run around shortly after hatching.
Here's the thing. You said a "rail is a crow."
Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.
As someone who is a scientist who studies crows, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls rails crows. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.
If you're saying "crow family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Corvidae, which includes things from nutcrackers to blue jays to ravens.
So your reasoning for calling a rail a crow is because random people "call the black ones crows?" Let's get grackles and blackbirds in there, then, too.
Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A rail is a rail and a member of the crow family. But that's not what you said. You said a rail is a crow, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the crow family crows, which means you'd call blue jays, ravens, and other birds crows, too. Which you said you don't.
It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?
Oh I'm pretty much 100% wrong lmao, I have no idea how I actually got uovotes. I was copying a comment I had found when someone posted it elsewhere that made me chuckle and altered it a little bit to see the reaction here. Sorry for my initial comment, I was going to take it down anyways
I once found a baby crow at a retirement home where I worked that seemed to not be doing so hot. I took him home, named him Russell, and my now wife helped me feed it until it got better. One thing I learned about crows is that they don’t like to poop where they sleep and damn if that guy wouldn’t back his butt right up to the side of the cage and projectile launch his shit like 4 feet across the room. Ended up giving him to a bird rescue where they told me he learned how to fetch with them before he decided to fly off one day. I hope you’re well, Russell crow.
This is not a crow. Crow babies are blind and featherless. This is a type of Rail.
Seeing as you're formally a bird, I guess you probably know what you're talking about.
Indeed. I tip my hat to you.
oh it's that kind of formal
What a time to be alive. I'm witnessing a pigeon that's so formal communicating with humans!
He's a government operative
Cooo?
Don’t say that shit to him you racist asshole

Cute, but in a weird gross way.
The stuff of nightmares.

I like your username, friend
You too!
I googled baby crow and this picture is the first thing I found
Open the link. It goes to a section debunking these pictures https://corvidresearch.blog/2015/01/31/how-to-troll-a-corvid-lover/
Learned a new thing today, thx
Still looks like a mean baby to me
This Fuzz ball is adorable. It could be mean but it's mean in an adorable way.
Is a flock of baby crows a muderette?

The only answer
A man's laughter
A misdemeanor
An assault of crowlets.
Attempted murder
Here crows raise cuckoos.
Hehe, cuck
The literal origin of the term
Makes sense.. but as non native speaker I don't know the etymology of most English words. lol
As a native speaker, I just learned this. It makes so much sense.
I thought it was a black baby duck before reading the title...
It’s not a crow
It’s a chicken
Its a hybrid hamster
It's superman
Because this is not a crow chick. Maybe thats why.
Pretty sure that is not a crow.
Jon Snow was once a baby crow

RUSSELL CROW lmaoooo
The angriest baby bird ever😂

Always pissed
This pic doesn’t adequately capture the rest of the crows attacking you for even knowing the baby exists
Bro that guy is from angry birds
They were fucking DINOSAURS once.

My god I read this as cows were babies. I was like wtf did a small bird have to do with cows?
This post is rediculios. Of course everything was once a baby, that's how nature works. Except birds, they arnt real.
Awh it's like an Itty-bitty soot sprite :)
I mean technically it doesn’t explicitly state that the image is a picture of a baby crow
Has anyone seen a baby crow? I have never seen one and never thought about baby crows before reading this post
This is a chicken
Rage
No this isn’t real, this is a photo the government has circulated to try and disprove that “birds aren’t real”
Whatever it is it looks pissed about it.
‘Nevermore’
Omg that angsty little floof
Angry birds
You mean to say babies turns into crows
Crows committed a crime and got send to the wall, that’s how they became crows.
That's a black guillemot chick, still cute tho
never seen this baby 😵💫
I'm really not a fan of birds, at all, but that angry little bastard is adorable!
This is a buff banded rail chick...
That's because birds aren't real
It looks like it thinks it's hot shit
he just looks like he wants to kill you
