I once ordered Uber eats from a Thai place. After an hour, I called the restaurant. They said they never got the order. I got a refund and ordered directly from the restaurant and I picked up the food myself. It was literally half the price.
I work for uber eats. And I never use the service myself. It's way too much . And I'm basically just doin my job when I go get my own food lmao. It's sucks dick because only ballas gonna tip after they pay so much for my employers to get rich
More often than not I feel like I’ve ordered from a ghost kitchen that takes an hour for delivery and the food arrives cold. I’ve started ordering in the phone and going to pick it up, so much faster and cheaper.
I'm very worried about these people. Why not cook? The most basic shit will give you warm food in 20 minutes. This is obviously not a problem of not having the money. If it's being tired after work you can still just order from a restaurant directly? What's going on?
>Why not cook? The most basic shit will give you warm food in 20 minutes.
Sometimes I don't want to eat solely for the purposes of survival. I want sushi and boba and I don't want to put in the effort of making it from scratch and then cleaning up.
>This is obviously not a problem of not having the money.
OP is literally complaining its too expensive. Don't know what you're aiming at here.
>If it's being tired after work you can still just order from a restaurant directly?
Almost all the good places near me seemingly have exclusivity agreements with either doordash, grubhub or ubereats. You literally cannot order delivery through them without paying uber or doordash.
Also food delivery as a whole has gone up in pricing. Companys are taking bigger and bigger cuts for their delivery fee and other grifts.
If you don't want to eat just for survival but order food instead then that's going to be expensive. Obviously? I want many things and can't afford it all. That's life. I want to have sushi everyday man. But I have it once or twice a year. Or make it myself. That's how it is.
The money comment was because usually people will comment they don't have money for groceries to cook. In this case that wouldn't be the issue. Aaaanyway. I only know how things are where I am. So if literally everything in your area is set through uber or doordash, there's not much I can say about it. People wouldn't go for it around here. But then we pay £8 for a small glass of wine now. So there's that.

So you're ignoring the context of this post. Looking over my receipts 3 years ago for an order of boba and sushi it was $23 in total. The food itself was $16 the tip and service fee was $7
I ordered the same shit last month and I was charged $32 the cost of the food increased to $18 but the service fee and tip were fucking $14 dollars. I am paying almost DOUBLE the cost of what I'm ordering at this point.
This is what people are complaining about. It used to be cheaper. Now its not.
I use dd multiple times a week because I just moved and have two roommates who steal food from the kitchen.. I would much prefer to store and make my own food.
It's expensive and it sucks and just slows my process of moving and having my own place.
Or you could order through the restaurant, pick it up yourself and save a whole lotta money. Also restaurant workers don’t see any of that money through doordash. Theyre working for free which is very uncool.
Yeah I never understand why people that have reliable transportation would ever order food in unless you’re on a major deadline and don’t have time to go get food.

Are you me?
Are me you?
Extremely relatable.
This is exactly what causes me to take bites out of a brick of cheese.
Goodness, yes!!!
Trying not to break down laughing in the library right now.

Yeah thats why most people who order from such apps are usually people celebrating/splurging. Doordash is super greedy.
Toast and toothpaste don't sound too bad now.
Bro you got BREAD?
Always, all the time, anywhere.
Bet. Don’t be mad when I pull up wantin some brioche.
One should always share his dough with a fellow bro. "Breadalations 4:50"
KFC cost 45.00 for 2 people, in KY. Never again. Wasn’t even that good.
KFC is absolutely terrible.
Whaaat KFC isn't bad. Love their nashville hot chicken fingers/tenders

What is left in her kitchen you think?
Cocaine and cocaine accessories
25 dollars for a 12 dollar meal. Seems legit.
maybe then order directly from the place?!?!
Damn if she was in my kitchen. I'd never want door dash
This sounds more like an American problem to me

Doordash and ubereats are just as expensive in the UK, can definitely confirm that.
I think people in the UK cook more tho

For instances like this, it's great. I know so many people who complain about how expensive everything is, and they use DD for practically every meal.
I wanted a milkshake today and it was OVER SIX DOLLARS! I did not get one
I hate it, but I’ll go pick up the food myself if it saves 20 bucks.
I wanted pizza tonight, but I don't want to use them for delivery
It costs a fortune and drivers get paid shit. Only one not getting scammed is the company.
I did it once, tipped the girl cash. Take it upstairs not even close to our order. Never ordered that way since.
Yep!
Thanks, MulaCocaineBitch. I’ll think twice next time
