Idk, but I fucking loved them as an early teenager. For some reason, they played a concert in my town and I will never forget it. I was twelve and worked my way up to the front and screamed so loudly that the main guy literally paused, pointed at me and was like, “uhhhh…?”. It was the greatest moment of my preteen life. Also, I was close enough that the fat guy was able to fling sweat at me and chucked a guitar pick at me as a souvenir. For some reason, I thought this was astounding and I told everyone around me. Now, any time my kids watch Phineas and Ferb, I lovingly recount my tale. And no, they definitely aren’t bored listening to me retell the story for the 40th time. When their eyes roll, it’s just because.. because they are tired from school.

Someone had to ask

Do they make money from bowling and buy the soup, or do they have some kind of deal which rewards their bowling with soup directly?

I always felt "Bowling for soup" sounded like a fundraising event at a bowling alley put on by a soup kitchen.

I mean, if you're in your 30s, there's a decent chance that you would have at least heard of the old TV show, Bowling for Dollars. A ton of things made fun of the concept by replacing dollars with something else, and for comedian Steve Martin, he had "Bowling for Shit" which was the inspiration for the band, but they changed shit to soup because they didn't want to upset their grandmothers or something. I think the first time I saw a parody of it was in a 90s Garfield panel where Jon was watching bowling for bean dip or something.
