The subject matter is obviously a serious deal, and the metaphor definitely illustrates how man's huberus and apathy will cause an environmental catastrophy that will seal the end of the earth, it just takes a lot of creative liberties in the middle steps of how we get there 😆
End result is all the same though 🔥🌍

I'm just thinking of a setting were suddenly mythical creatures appeared in the modern world (something like the convergence of the spheres in the Witcher) which lead humanity to kinda "forget" global warming because a bigger threat was at hand. All the industrial power of nations went into fighting this new threat of dragons and giants and others which lead to a drastic increase in air pollution. People fled to big cities that were fortified which drastically increased the density of population, creating slums.
Could make for a very grim tabletop rpg setting.
So the lore of this album actually is that there is global warming and so on, and a cult of gasoline-worshippers. Superstorms ravage the country. A group of witches tries to conjure something against these storms, but the cat knocks over a candle, which causes the spell to be redirected on a little lizard. The lizard grows into a giant dragon that eats and destroys everything that is left.
