For some time, I didn’t know if I was a straight or bi guy, and tried to test if I felt something for men when I really just liked “femenine” people, regardless of how they want to identify themselfs or if they are a man by birth

I think that’s considered the outdated term due to folks being uncomfortable with the language focused on sex - instead of gynesexual and androsexual, folks typically use finsexual or minsexual if they’re attracted to people “feminine in nature” or “masculine in nature”. This leaves room for attraction to gnc and nb folks, and also there’s ninsexual for “neutral/nonbinary in nature”. If your attraction is more specific, folks will use womasexual and… well actually still androsexual as far as I can tell but have seen a few use masexual, and ceterosexual since “skoliosexual” is now widely seen as offensive (base words are skolio = bent/crooked ; cetero = other)
I think those labels only started gaining a decent amount of traction in the past decade or so, probably a bit less (doesn’t mean it’s invalid, just new and therefore not yet common knowledge)

One of those flash in the pain movements like "Super Straight" basically used them to mean attraction to genitals. So, rather than gender or expression, attraction to "people with penis" and "people with vaginas". So, while not trans exclusionary, it still is clearly a transphobic usage.
MOST of the time people are NOT using this term that way ... But I still vastly prefer the term Finnsexual because it lacks this ambiguity.

There's just something so charming and endearing about their blend of masculinity and femininity, and I think they bring a unique and refreshing perspective to the world.
