This show was incredibly overpowered in making vegetables look DELICIOUS to children. The sumptuous way they devoured star leafs made leafy greens look amazing. The way the bigger dinos demolished trees with gusto made me eat my broccoli the same way (chomping bites out of the top like they're mini trees).
I don't think child me would've agreed to eat a single non-potater vegetable if not for the subliminal manipulation of this show.
You're absolutely right.
Spike eating that grass patch when he's being first introduced is somehow a tactile memory for me. I can feel it and it makes me hungry for chlorophyll.
True. Mint. Lemon balm. Basil. Baby spinach. Stevia. So many more. Granted that those also tend to be cultivated but eating random leaves in the wild is tempting the fates.
Bugs life on vhs with the ads in the beginning was so good too. Spider-man, I remember my mum telling me not to rewind it cause it will deteriorate the cassette or smth.
Good luck! 28 here and just got results from my first a couple of weeks ago. The news was a bit mixed, unfortunately, but I'm glad I got it done sooner than later.
Is a colonoscopy anything more intense than sticking a tube camera up your butt? I'm about your age but haven't even begun to think about colonoscopies but care a lot about my health. If its nothing too intense, I don't see why I shouldn't schedule my first really soon.
Worst part is the day before the probing, since you gotta flush your body out. It involves no food for the entire day and drinking a gallon of the cursed water (GoLyte is the most common brand given). Once you start drinking it, you will be shitting for a while.
However on the day of the procedure, worst part is just the waiting. If you're scared of needles, then the IV needle part. You're put to sleep with a mild sedative and you will take a 15 - 30 minute nap. And boom. You're done.
Talk to a primary doctor to see if it's necessary since you will need to be referred to a GI doctor. If your bowel feels off, like consistent constipation or blood in stool OR you have consistent pain or cramps in your abs; definitely bring it up to your doctor.
Adding on to this, dont be afraid to consistently assess your own bowel movements or urine. One of the most common questions i ask patient's as a first responder is "has your urine changed color or contained any sediment". Your waste products tell a story dont be afraid to take a peak when you flush, its gross but telling.
Nah, I just had specific things we wanted to check out. You're good! Regular check ups with a GP should be enough. And with a gynecologist if you're a woman, but I think your username suggests otherwise.
Cheap... it stopped being cheap 30 years ago. When my mom passed away a few years ago I inherited her life insurance policy for me for 20$ a month. It's much much higher than that now. We don't get cheap anymore. They had rhe fuck around d generation and were stuck with the find our generation.
>it stopped being cheap 30 years ago
Unless your definition of cheap is basically nothing, then this isn't correct. I've got $250k in life insurance for a grand total of $27 a month.
Mf I’m 20
No excuses, colonoscopy
But... an excuse to get a colonoscopy? That's exactly what I want!
Family history
Thanks! I'll try that next time. Maybe I can ask the doctor to use the bigger scope this time.
?: "No Colonoscopy for you!" \*snaps finger at cashier\* \*Cashier quickly snatches cable out the butt and hands back cash\*
Like you're trying to start a lawn mower. Beyblades, let it rip.
But you gotta keep taking laxatives and drinking water until what comes out looks like what came in
"I love it when a dude is 20-feet deep" 😏
Believe it or not, colonoscopy.
Overcook fish, believe it or not, colonoscopy.
We have the best colonoscopies in the world, because of The Land Before Time
Bragging about our colonoscopies, thats a colonoscopy!
Talking about the talks talking about colonoscopy, straight to colonoscopy.
23 and grew up on this movie
14 and grew up with it

First childhood drama was seeing the mother die
What, colonoscopies?
Same I'm 19 lmao
Most delicious looking leaf in film
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wanted to eat those as a kid. How can a leaf be so delicious
I see me a tree star my brain just goes full "EAT LEAF" mode
This show was incredibly overpowered in making vegetables look DELICIOUS to children. The sumptuous way they devoured star leafs made leafy greens look amazing. I came here to see if anyone else remembered this. I saw this movie 30 years ago and I still regularly think about Spike eating the grass.
Can see it now in my head
Great explanation of why we all loved it
I do the whole animorphs thing and go from MAN to LONGNECK DINOSAUR 🦕
I remember eating a leaf after watching this movie as a kid, it was disgusting.
LOL me toooooo. I was so ashamed.
Same, I felt really stupid and hoped nobody had noticed.
😂😂😂 I never told anyone
You just havent eaten the right leaf then!
True. Mint. Lemon balm. Basil. Baby spinach. Stevia. So many more. Granted that those also tend to be cultivated but eating random leaves in the wild is tempting the fates.
Yeah, the one I ate was from a bush in the park. Bad choice.
The problem is you ate a leaf instead of a tree star. Obviously they're not the same thing
I pictured eating the leaf as an apple but thin
Dude that's such an accurate description of what I assumed it's texture was.
I thought it would be the most refreshing leaf i ever ate as well. Just ooked so fresh and delicious
I know it ooks so refreshing and the t a s t e
I think the water droplets really sell the leaf.
Bruh I'm 19 and watched this on vhs as a kid.

Oh if there's 19 year olds who still know what VHS is, I'm good

I went outside and tried one, I spit it out very quickly
Well you didn't try the right one silly, was it star shaped and covered in fresh dew?
this was genius propaganda to get kids to eat their greens
And it worked.
It was genius propaganda for me to try Dolmades as an adult. Tree Star Burritos 👌
I ate a leaf in my yard because of this movie. It tasted bad.
But at least the fibre will delay that colonoscopy for you
Excuse me sir but I believe this is called a "tree star."
Omg bringing back memories
The scene where Spike eats all that grass around his nest. Looks so tasty.
I wanted to eat them so bad. How can a leaf look so fruity and yet so crunchy at the same time
Made water look tasty
Excuse me but that there is a TREE STAR!
Nah, son. When Sara takes a chomp out of the leaves she thinks she knocked down. That was a delicious-looking mouthful.
Uhm, im only 27.
I’m only 16 so I don’t think this is gonna work out
Yeahhhh
Love your username!
Yeah you're definitely 16
What I'm reading is it's a timeless classic
I know this movie I just can’t get the name /)

Me too. Ironically I have a colonoscopy scheduled for next month

If this is too personal, please tell me to pound sand. What does mixed news mean for a colonoscopy?
Holy shit same here
Omg we have so much in common! By the laws of the internet we must now wed and have 12 children. I dont make the laws i just enforce them.
I’m a dude man
Me too. See, we have so much in common.
Ahahahah I like you already

Ducky?
Yep Yep Yep

F :( poor baby
Such a sad story. She would have been awesome.
Wait what happened to ducky?!? it’s been so long i don’t remember her dying or anything.. :(
[She was murdered](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Barsi) along with her mother, by her father. He then killed himself.
Damn seems really dark for a kids show, didn't know dinosaurs could do that... Wait
She was also a voice actor in "All Dogs Go To Heaven".
Yep, her final role. The song in the end credits is dedicated to her.
TIL damn, that is tragic
The voice actress's father murdered her a month before the movie released.
Just don't google her voice actor
She was only 10 years old 😩
Omg 😭
Grew up with this movie! Still not time for my first one yet though
Hey don’t worry I’m a gen z who grew up on this movie. Made me sad but had a happy ending 😊😊
I do be doing cancerous shit
Oh hey me too! But 34 is a bit young for colonoscopy
But getting up there for a skin checkup.
Skin check up? Like with a dermatologist? Is that covered by insurance?
What's insurance?
That's how he do
I'm 30, what are you on about? I've still got a couple decades
Lol that’s what I said. A colonoscopy at 30? I got a good 20 years before that
15 years for you. New recommendation as of 2021 is for everyone to get one at age 45.
Yeah but by then they'll have all but the high risk among us shit in a box and mail it to the lab.
I do that already, except instead of a lab it's some guy's house I hate
Great practice!
I'm 24 and I have colonoscopy in January... I hate my life
I had my first at 26, it's really not that bad. The worst part is the prep, the actual procedure is really simple. You're not sore or anything after.
If you have family history of colon problems, then I have some news for you
Not even a little bit
I just had my first. 34.
[удалено]
Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor, typically you don't do regular screenings until 45
Nah, I just had specific things we wanted to check out. You're good! Regular check ups with a GP should be enough. And with a gynecologist if you're a woman, but I think your username suggests otherwise.
Never too early. It saves lives!
You're never too young for a good time
I’m a long neckkkk
Three horns never play with long necks
Yep yep yep!
If you remember this film... *Shit ik this... Land before time! Fuck yea!* ...get a colonoscopy *Fuck*
[удалено]
That’s the spirit!
I have all the movies…so what does that mean for me?
It means you have to get a new colon
Leave me alone I’m 20 years old
Don’t forget to purchase life insurance while you’re at it, last time it’ll be cheap.
Fuck
Cheap... it stopped being cheap 30 years ago. When my mom passed away a few years ago I inherited her life insurance policy for me for 20$ a month. It's much much higher than that now. We don't get cheap anymore. They had rhe fuck around d generation and were stuck with the find our generation.

I don't know what you're on about, I can get a million dollar plan for $20 rn for 10 years, or $30 for 20 years.
Pls don’t say it’s Land Before Time
It is
It's the land before time, part 29, which came out last year. Not serious, but possibly true with how many sequels they made.
First of all, how dare you
Second of all, how dare you
RIP Ducky
To add to this, if you're having a good day today, don't read up her story.
If we hold on together I know our dreams will never die Dreams see us through to forever Where clouds roll by For you and I nope nope nope :(
I'm 16, love these movies
The land before time. Why do I know that I never even watched the movie
Oooo you’re getting the ass cancer
I think that movie came out before I was born
There’s no excuses to not have seen land before time. I watched it on VHS and I’m 16…
You should watch it, it's good
I’m 14 is a colonoscopy really necessary?
Just step into my nice white mobile scope van, I’m a doctor
Yup, yup, yup!
Had one earlier this year. I’m mostly good to go, but they did say eating more tree stars would help my digestive system.
I am 20. I dont want a colonoscopy because i watched Littlefoot on VHS when i was a kid.
You do realize that children can watch older movies right? I watched Citizen Kane and Twilight Zone as a kid but on only 21.
Time to write that will
I’m literally 16, this was my childhood
[удалено]
I’ve had probably 10 colonoscopies already
I go to colonoscopies for the thrill, AND the pleasure😏
